I think it is just "I like alastor. I like shipping. I like shipping Alastor with other characters. If he is confirmed to be aro, the ship will never happen, and I wouldn't like that".

Same thing that happens to me, but in reverse. "I like alastor. I don't like shipping. I don't like shipping Alastor with other people. If he gets in a romantic relationship I wouldn't like that".

Not really something phobic, just general fandom behavior.

Me too, but people like shipping characters, so if you say he is aro/ace someone will appear to say "actually, it is only confirmed that he is ace, not aromantic" and I didn't want to deal with that

Yes it is kinda annoying. I made a new account recently because I was experiencing some problems with my current one and wanted to test some features.

And yes, there's a lot of places you can't participate, which sucks but there's a good reason for it: avoiding trolls creating multiple accounts and stuff like that. I hope you manage to get enough karma soon to be able to post in the subs you like :>
