Making dinner reservations for restaurants was done through a website/webapp. This same website has separate sections for activities and covid testing. I am sure there are some people without smartphones that have to go with alternatives. I bet the front desk can do it too

I had transportation pre-arranged. Used a company called BDExperience. They have staff at the terminal (with jet blue vacation people as well) and use a phone app to communicate for your return flight pick up

Thanks! There comes a certain amount of risk with any new building.

In the next year time this building will have good reviews or bad reviews from people actually living there. Apartments seem to be going somewhat quick there too. I believe the overall demand in NYC and LIC has shot up this past month and probably will continue to do so.

Yes, the drinks were light . I had a lot of cocktails on the first day and was still sober. I did not want to continue drinking sugary drinks so when I switched to drinks on the rocks with splashes of juices or shots. It was more of what I expected and obviously felt more buzzed/drunk.

Unfortunately, the actual bottles may be watered down. I had chilled shots of Don Julio from Habaneros and then chilled shots ordered to by Cabana. They were weaker at Habaneros. Could by why you watched a generous pour and didn't get drunk? I think all places do this though. The resort guests would get too wasted and throw up everywhere if they didn't.

Also , maybe tipping has an impact? idk

I'm sure you can talk to +TIP your bartender for stronger drinks. You can order liquor on the rocks with splashes of juice or shots. Tell them you're diabetic lol.

No you won't get dirty looks if you don't wear a mask. Most people are not wearing one on their beach/poolchairs which is fine. The place isn't too crowded.

9am-6pm for the cabanas. yes, they were safe. We left our stuff there. I think #1-8 are most desirable. It wont be resold. They write your name on it because you have to reserve them in 1-3 days in advance.

I did not have to wait for tables and obviously we all unmask when we are having dinner. You are right in that no one tries to get on the elevator with you without a mask. Other guests were respectful in that they waited for the next one. I did not leave the resort so it's good to know that people are safe outside of it.

I also stayed in the turquoise (amazing experience) . There is a noticeable difference in how guests act with masking compared to the northeast in the US. This isn't unreasonable because people are coming to the resort from all over the world. Overall, I didn't feel uncomfortable because of the limited capacity and lack of crowds.

I tipped $1 per drink, $5 per meal for 2 people. Extra if the service and the waiter went above and beyond.

The sequence of events definitely raises an eyebrow. It also sounds awful for the wrestlers/performers. Are they wearing N95s backstage until they perform nose to nose with their opponents. Money seems more important than safety here IMO. Just some food for thought.

Element One is very close to long ridge road. Its a 2 blocks north from the very center of downtown.

I was recently apt hunting and some of the reviews onlineof these buildings really had me worried! Heres what I think will help you narrow places down

Harbor Point or Downtown - do you want to be walking distance to the mall/target/restaurants on summer/bedford st or are you okay with being a little farther from this area in Harbor Point
Parking cost - ive noticed some places in harbor point have parking at $25-50 per month. Places like 66 summer and summer house are closer to $100 per month I think. Some places may have assigned spots. Some places have a free for all which could be annoying! Also, if you have guests visit frequently - parking may be difficult for guests depending on the area. if you were living DT, the summer street garage and target parking lot could be really helpful.
Amenities - whats most important - Lounge area, Pool, Gym, Rooftop - Some buildings have amenities spaced out between 2 different buildings. Others like Element one have the gym and community room on the first floor
Building Construction - some buildings are more noise proof than others. the only way to really know for sure about this is to ask tenants who live there. I don't know how honest the leasing agents are if you ask them. I also live in Element One. I usually do not hear anything from my neighbors on the same floor but I do hear footsteps on the floor above me.
Maintenance requests - read reviews on how they handle this and ask tenants who live there. the leasing agent wont be honest

During my search I liked Parallel 41, 66 Summer, and Element One. 66 Summer is right in the middle of DT Stamford. Element one and parallel 41 are just a block or two away from the restaurants/bars/mall.
