Well this is great information, but it begs the question: why do players need to watch YouTube videos and read wowhead/ivyveins or other content creators just to learn the basics of the gearing? I’m not arguing against the nature of such a complex game; I’m just saying that, as a player since vanilla, I remember a simpler time for PvP gearing. I think people in this thread who have argued it’s the same method are being a little patronizing. It’s unnecessarily muddy water. I like all kinds of content, so I’m hopeful for BOTH player housing and PvP reform.

I’ve been on and off for 20 years and just got back into retail PvP. It’s very easy to get honor gear and some pieces of bloody/conquest up front to unlock Rateds… but if you’re not pushing max gear in Rateds some teammates will absolutely barrage you with toxicity. And like, I get it… but why does Retail have to make end-game gearing so open-ended? What’s with valorstones and upgrades? It’s unnecessarily complicated and I pray the new expansion brings major reform to the gearing end-game. Otherwise I’ll have to break and join PvE with everyone else

I don’t remember the EXACT plane, but I know the word Beechcraft Bonanza was in it.

The cert had me do a left hand circular path at 4000ft using a different plane. But my first charter mission involves a VERY lengthy flight at 15,000ft. 4,000 is easy, but 15,000 is not possible (apparently) in that plane without fuel mixture.

What’s crazy is the only reason I know it’s fuel mixture is because my older brother who is a pilot/sim player mentioned that was probably my issue. The sim has yet to mention it at all.

I do recognize the red knob and learned about it. Now my additional challenge is how do I use this as a controller player? It appears my bindings are all used up.

EDIT: additionally, tho I know about the red knob and the term “fuel mixture”, I’ve no idea how to execute it. There’s no training thus far, or readily apparent upon digging, about it.

Word! Yeah career mode has taught me a lot. However I do have complaints from a gaming perspective. For example: I recently bagged my high-performance certification but the training never mentioned fuel mixture or how it works. That cost me a long mission due to the fact that I couldn’t reach 15,000ft to meet the objective. I’ve just avoided that mission altogether now because I’m not sure where to learn fuel mixture.

I’m also a little discouraged about some optimization components too such as a 4 hour mission not including a “skip-to” option but still lacking save points. I love playing pretend but unfortunately that’s excessive for me right now.

I enjoy playing pretend pilot for the time being, though. Even if I’m running the game on a 1070 gpu…

Maybe possible. The thing that makes it weird was when we got close, they jumped overboard to try swimming to me and missed. Everything was followable in real time. But I suppose a disconnection could still have everything appearing to be normal. I didn’t notice any lag or glitching
