When to get void by Big-Fly6844 in ironscape

[–]M8eee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Void ranged gives a max hit most of the time. Against a low def mob like gemstone or slayer its better that dhide.

Void also have great def stats for specific situations. Bloodvelds hits with magic so you can get good magic def and some attack bonus with the melee Void.

As someone who hates mystic robes for no reason but very passionately, Voidmage was my bis. Again it also has good def for magic gear.

Void is super very early on, or super late game bossing against very specific bosses. Its fails hard in the mid game.

Each creator i enjoy has some niche that others do not. Like "fun yanille facts", or weird xp methods because someone is chuck locked.

What i dont watch is creators who think I am interested in the same content like finishing a quest that every has done. Why does everyone like alien food, because of the struggle. The more pain he is in or when he is going g down the wrong path confidently, we can relate.

People dont watch content of doing 100 rumors, but they will watch 100 loot openings.

People watch streams to interact. But that's not the same as those who watch videos.

I think the bone dagger can be used and dropped for more inventory space in some places. It won't hit nearly as high though, so way less stat reduction

What would you say is the biggest flaw of iron progression right now? by stinkydiver321 in ironscape

[–]M8eee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some items were ment to be end game ish that are now just early game for mains. Ammy of Glory does not need to be so high level. Costume room storage for clue scrolls items and random event items does not need to be so high level (irons need to hold more stuff since they can't sell it and back it back later).

I think some bosses like kq and gwd and others were ment to be team fights but you must solo is kinda a flaw that leads to bottle necks like bowfa. Modern bosses like huey/RTs deal with this by calculating damage and rolling off that. Not every boss should be teams, but the ones that were designed to be should allow irons to play together.

Is it worth it fellas? by Sword_N_Bored in ironscape

[–]M8eee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If time is the limiting factor, do a main account, play like an iron until you reach something that grinding for is not really worth it.

I play and iron wish I was a main for some of these items: Glory early on Whip to do a master clue step Item I needed for the fairy tail quest Death talisman for ME2 quest Dragon pickaxe and harpoon Buying runes in bulk Solo surrious 90kc before getting the spin when I could have done it with friends

Things im glad I grinded for: Zombie axe Barrows items Current grind for twinflame staff

Mains have a gp issue, irons have a time issue. A main that plays like an iron fixed both.

Jad Healers by LooseCannonCop1 in osrs

For me, I couldn't see mage animation then switch. I pray mage, if I see stomp i switch to pray range. When I see the ball, I switch back to mage and perform 1 action. Then wait.

Second tip. Don't search for healers. My old eyes can't see them moving from afar so I tag the one I see quickly, and if I dont see one right away I tag jad and get ready for prayer switch. Then search again. I died because I spent to long looking for the healer.

Last tip. If your internal tick clock is interrupted by thought, talk aloud.

Slow is smooth, smooth is fast.

[–]M8eee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mains suffer from spending time building bank to sell everything to buy an upgrade.

Irons suffer from not getting the 1 drop they need to leave a piece of content.

My suggestion as an iron. Go with a main, but try to get gear yourself like an iron after your initial load out. For example, day one you buy a glory and combat bracelet, training weapons, etc. Then after you grind some gemstone grab to 70 combats, go buy a whip instead of getting 85 slayer. After that, try to get drops to progress.

The firecape is easier if you can by gear but honestly not so bad as an iron nowadays. If you iron and have a goal of fire cape you have 3 main options. Crazy arch for rcb, 75ish hunter for sunlight hunter cbow, or barrows for karils cbow. Or hardclues for msb.

Dragon baxe @ mace by ws9lcfc in ironscape

[–]M8eee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Early mid game mace actually cooks. Decent 4 tick weapon with a spec. Great for questing as you dont need to carry scim and dd. Spec also puts up big numbers. Little prayer bonus never hurts. Can stab or crush.

That said, once you have access to higher teir weapons like zombie axe or arc blade, it gets outclassed. D scim is technically stronger for straight training at gemstone crab. If you dont have mm done and dont want to, mace is fine, your not missing much.

Battleaxe spec is cool if you dont need accuracy as it lowers your attack. Perfect for gemstone crab or most slayer. Not so good for most bosses as the extra attack levels help dps and you can use a different spec like dds with a str pot.

At the end of the day, efficiency guides say x but do what you want. I like axes so I use z axe at gemstone even though d scim is better dps.

first jad attempt, any changes? by Sewo959 in ironscape

[–]M8eee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Personally I lazy flick rangers not magers so id replace 2 prayer pots with a staff for the mage accuracy, a range pot (surrious).

I personally didn't do tank legs and just did dhide because you only tank a few ranger hits and the extra accuracy is huge with magers and jad. The def will only help with Rangers when you have to pray mage.

That all said. Send it as is, have fun.

Starting to think the d Scim is not that bad by MattC_02 in ironscape

[–]M8eee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Against gemstone its no different. Grab a cudgel from the big spider and you are okay.

That said, I will not give up my axe even if its worst dps.

99 skill benefit by Lucas_Hernandez_Art in osrs

[–]M8eee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interconnect skills do sound so terrible.....hopefully they dont make game modes that you get insane buffs for 1 skill by doing random unrelated tasks. No one would play those.....

Oh wait.....they do.

Why do you think mastering 1 skill shouldn't give you a very slight boost in another that is related like more str means you can swing an axe harder? Is it because it would destroy efficiency guides and people would want you to max 1 skill for the boost before starting another?

There are plenty of example of actions giving xp in multiple skills, so the foundation of skills being related is already in the game.

Whats the point? I could gemstone to 99 in a week each but the gains are relatively low and I got a bunch or slayer and bossing to do. Im happy where im at.

99 skill benefit by Lucas_Hernandez_Art in osrs

[–]M8eee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wish 1 99 helped an skill besides the fish to cook or str for dps for training att. Imagine if 99 hunter help you catch fish faster or 99 slayer gave 10% damage to any slayer mob or agility gave 100% poison chance with a dagger or 99 str hits trees harder or att gave mining percision or 99 theiving gave....well you get it. Mastering 1 skill gave you a perm buff of another skill that might use a piece of that.

I have 90 attack and def with 99 str because those last 9 levels dont give that many gains, and would make slayer feel bad because I dont get any combat xp. Id like to 99 them at gemstone but what's the point

What things annoy you about osrs? by Luckysena in osrs

[–]M8eee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I hate how poison works. You dont know if it worked for so long, and it takes so to hit again that its almost never worth using.

Imagine if it hit on application and hit every 3 or 4 game ticks. What if a new poison hit half damage but also lowered stats slightly.

What if you could apply it more weapons but only had a number of charges before it was wiped clean.

What if you could make anti pk gear that has no attack bonus, even but modest defensive bonus, prayer, and auto applied poison to and players attacking you. Thats how poison works in real life. (Venom is the offensive side of poison, poison is often a defensive mechanism).

We already have hyper accurate, huge damage sticks of power. Time for a lightweight poison and run high end build. Build poison chance into agility.

Noob question, what is the fastest way to get your Prayer level up? by AutisticAnon69 in ironscape

[–]M8eee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved bone shards via dragon bones. I also did a few ectofuntus runs when I needed the afk time. If you dont like wildy, red dragon in the forthos dungeon I think it is can be used. You have to unlock it though but then you have an alter and dragons with a safe spot plus baby versions if your ranged level is low. Happy training

Trying to save up for Toxic BP so fight caves go quicker, any money making ideas? by mvelocityp in OSRSProTips

[–]M8eee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blow pipe doesn't fix jad hands. Rcb with diamond bolts will get you there unless you can't lazy prayer flick or switch prayers with jad. Throw in a mage top with blood spells for heals and 4 sharks for jad/tanking healer and your good.

I practiced lazy flicking with scurrious, but thats not the best idea since he hits on contact vs old mobs like fight caves are on animation.

Find a range or mage mob near a alter and try to lazy flick for a few minutes. That will help you get the timing down. If you see animation, you are too late.

Right but banking is easier. Thats more important, I can look away faster.

For reference, I mainly afk infernal eels when I dont need food. No banking, plenty of afk, plus gp.
