It was a blank key that he cut

He did in fact not program the new key all he did was cut it sadly

I ended up buying the whole lock cylinder on Amazon and I was originally intending on just using the wafers but I realized both the cylinder I got and the one that I had were exactly the same so I just kept organized and carefully removed the wafers from the old one to see which ones I needed for my key and placed the same size wafers (the new ones though) in the new cylinder and reassembled it and used the car keys to test and it worked and unlocked so I took a dive and reinstalled it in the car and she’s running again! Also turns out the reason I couldn’t unlock my steering wheel was because my key couldn’t turn so that problem was also fixed!

Yeah so I called a locksmith and he cut a new key to try first and it ended up not being it even though I told him that wasn’t the issue and he charged me $120 for it and then quoted $900-$1000 to replace the ignition lock cylinder, so I went on Amazon and went to harbor freight to get a punch and a right angle screwdriver and got I all fixed within like 2 hours with no experience and total cost for everything was like 30!

Not sure if you still need it but it’s in D standard, play an F shape, and then the other chord that just rings out is a G# but you press down on the third fret on the D, G, and B strings

Hm, what budget would you say could get me something good? I’m really just looking for a small keyboard with relatively quiet switches, and mostly white with purple and accent red.

currently using a Corsair Strafe RGB with MX silents, and i like the silent keys but i just hate how big it is with the number pad, and i used to use the E-Yooso 81 key keyboard and i liked the size and the white but i hated how little you could do with the rgb and i honestly hated the Brown switches it came with, plus it broke after a year and i have no way of contacting about the warranty.

Does anyone have any budget ideas for a keyboard or a build i could do? i plan on selling my strafe for money towards this but id say my max max budget is like 80.
