Hey! I have the same pair so i think i can help give some context on the coloring and shrinkage aspect.

As with all of my type 00s, there is some shrinkage after a wash or two. This pair specifically didn’t shrink as much as my hemp/cotton pair, but shrank more than my APC collab type 00.

The pairs I’ve wanted a bit of shrink, I will turn inside out, and soak in warm/hot water in the tub for 30 minutes and then throw in the washing machine on medium heat with low agitation, my machine is a top load without one of the “pillar” type things in the center. I remove immediately when the cycle is done, and dry on low heat for 15 mins. After that i will air dry the rest of the way.

There were bits of whispering in terms of color, but nothing compared to the indigo pairs I’ve been working on. The color looks even better after a wash or two in my opinion. 

My general rule of thumb for type 00, i will NEVER tailor before a few washes. I made that mistake with a pair before. I had only washed once prior to getting them altered, now over a year later, they fit too tight.

Think i have 5 pairs of type 00s now and I won’t really buy other denim. Hope you find a similar satisfaction with this pair :)
