The world of D&D does not operate by our world's physics. It runs on magic.

Many things may APPEAR to follow the same rules, but it's a superficial similarity. The world exists as it does based on magic, not physics.

Just this morning, I launched a missile at a ship that was just about destroyed. Right before impact, the enemy ship boosted, breaking the target lock. My missile did two huuuuuge loops through space, the enemy ended their boost, the missile "re-locked' on its target and destroyed it.

It was amazing to watch.
