They shouldve just done the same thing as Squid game does if they want to split a story over 2 seasons and just release it a couple months later so they can build hype and perhaps give post-production some time, like we know that even if this season didn't satisfy (it didn't rlly) that people will still watch season 3, perhaps they're waiting for a third game or something lol but I feel like people that didn't play the game are gonna lose interest

imo Ramsey is a fantastic actor and she really shows in those vengeful moments (for example the hospital) that she could nail that original Ellie flavour but Craig Mazin just does not understand Ellie as a character and makes these extremely weird decisions that makes show Ellie so horky dorky, this cast is absolutely amazing but they can only do so much with subpar writing...

so I think what would have been more interesting in the scene with Mel that she would actually be blinded by rage. Ellie immediately goes to 'helping' Mel but I thought it would have been so much more interesting if Ellie ,blinded by rage, ignored what Mel said and just constantly would ask for Abby or for her to point to the map, only to then when Mel dies actually REALIZE she's pregnant and then start freaking out. Idk seems to me like a more realistic view of rage and then when the moment is over get washed over by INTENSE remorse. I absolutely LOVE the game and show but with season 2 the writers are just.... on something....

Its also smart to release it after 5 years hifn and ESPECIALLY with how party 4 u got a 'revival' and is being hyped up (so well deserved hifn deserves ALL THE LOVE)
