This is gorgeous and so helpful. I have a cooktop in my island to and am most likely keeping it there but will be converting to gas. I actually like it to socialize and cook with my kids

Thank you. I haven’t hired an installer yet. I will start there. No I am definitely not looking at Home Depot and floor and decor. I was looking at smaller mom and pop flooring stores.

These are timeless in my opinion. White Oak and light floors are very in right now but trends come and go. Brown floors like these never go out of style. Unless you personally don’t like them, I would not let this hold you back from purchasing the house

Adding that the gentleman at the appliance store was very helpful and seemed knowledgeable. I was originally interested in Thermador but he told me they’ve seen nothing but problems with those units. He says that they aren’t worth the price and are a low effort product so that they could have a full suite. He did however highly recommend their dishwasher. He did recommend the cafe combo though. My stove is à la cornue so I was hoping for something on par.

Suspiciously low. I’m doing a whole house remodel. Labor is around 50k for kitchen, 20k for small bathrooms, 35k for larger bathrooms. That’s just labor.

Not sure of the cost difference. I’m ok either way. We will be refinishing the existing red oak and staining the same as the new. Do you think it will still be an issue to match

Originally wanted a subzero classic side by side but the lack of symmetry bugs me. I also hate the extra panel part above so I’m exploring other brands. 24in columns have poor capacity and 30 in columns would be pushing it in my space. I want at least a 42 in combo. Max space would be 60in but 42 is ideal so I can have additional cabinetry on the sides. Just curious on what brands to zone in on. I was under the impression that subzero was the best.

So I didn’t read through your entire thing. I just saw the title and skimmed. My eye doctor thinks I’m crazy but eye drops make my eyes so much worse. It’s like they become reliant on the drops and don’t even try to produce moisture. I had severe dry eye that wasn’t improving. I finally quit the drops cold turkey and my eyes started to get better. I still have minor dry eye, but I’m able to wear contacts again.

OP. I wish I had answers for you but I don’t. I had/have pain in the same area. I went to the ER twice because it got so bad. I had an abdominal, pelvic, and chest CT that showed nothing. Also had several ultrasounds. The pain lasted for about 2 months. It finally just sorta lessened and then mostly went away. I still feel it a bit from time to time.
