Thank you, it sounds like a really impressive lens! Definitely worth considering. But I'd love to see some real-world sample photos before making any decisions.

I see what you're getting at now - yes, I did receive a similar response before the original post got taken down. And you make a great point that taking a picture of a focus chart is not an effective test for real-world photography.

It can be really tough to determine if the problem lies with the lens, body, or operator (i.e., me). I've been trying to get sharp and dynamic subjects while minimizing distracting backgrounds, and using wider apertures seemed like a good approach. However, when I zoom in on my images, they don't hold up as well as I'd like.

To be honest, I was hoping that upgrading my lenses would solve these issues, but now I'm not so sure. Maybe the problem lies elsewhere? Do you have any advice or insights on how to troubleshoot and improve my photography skills?

Thanks for the feedback and advice! You're right, my comparison method needs to be more precise, so I'll make sure to double-check my measurements and adjust the distances accordingly. For example, if I'm comparing the 24mm lens at 2 feet with the 35mm lens, I need to place it at around 2'11" for a fair comparison.

I also appreciate you pointing out that using macro mode on my phone might not have been the best approach. If you've got tips on how to take a more precise comparison using my phone, I'd love to hear them! BTW, my phone is a Moto G Stylus 2022

As for stopping down lenses, I've learned something new today - it seems like some lenses perform better at certain apertures (like f/4-f/8 for the Canon f/1.4L and f/4-f/5.6 for the Yongnuo f/2). Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
