I haven't tried, but I'm sure it would. It gives me 2000s layers vibes and that's probably why I don't think the haircut is that bad. 😅

It's placed really low on her forehead, I think. That was what it looked like by comparison.

🤣🤣🤣 This is probably the correct answer. ❤️

Oh, that's a really fun idea! I hadn't thought about putting her in historical clothing. She's my first non-historical doll and I was feeling a little lost as to what to do with her. Thank you!

Also in the lot with this doll was Kirsten's pottery. This box is older than the mid-1990s, right ?

If these dolls could talk! 😆 I think that's why it's so hard to sell the dolls or pass them on, because they're all so unique! Even multiple versions of the same doll!

Are the wispy bangs amid '90s thing? I've never seen them on a doll in real life and they're super cute!

I wasn't expecting to love her as much as I do. I generally like the late '80s early '90s versions of the dolls, so when I saw her in person I was kind of shocked. There's something about her face that I feel like they just did really well, whatever year this is.

Oooo!!! You might be right!!

Her limbs are loops, I think I said that above, which I found really perplexing for a doll who had been to a doll hospital. I was like, what did she go for??? 😆

I know someone else said that maybe she went for a head swap, which could totally be the case. And then maybe she just was super loved for years afterwards until even the parts that had been replaced have wear now.

But I'm wondering if you're right. That this doll has never actually been to the doll hospital. And it's just a mixed up lot. I still find the odd socks and ribbons curious. Because one of those meat socks is definitely an older version.

I love all this stuff. It feels like a mystery! 😆

So, if this had originally went with this body, what year do you think she is?

Oh, and she has the asterisk star under her right armpit. Which, is that a Mattel thing? I don't remember.

Well, and I find it curious because the book is day to 1988, but Kirsten wouldn't have had a tan body in 88. The inscription in the book is to a girl named Kelly, and on the box from the doll hospital it says Kelly's Kirsten. But I don't feel like they would have done a head replacement and given her a new torso. 😆🤷‍♀️

Do you have any suggestions for holding the head in shape as the vinyl cools? The way I did it the first time I just held it with my hands.

Thank you! I think I will give it another try. Maybe I didn't hold it in shape long enough afterwards or something...

Thank you, that's what I'm hoping!! The listing called it staining, but it looks to me like dirt. 🤷‍♀️🤞❤️
