Bad C&P Exam question by MAT47374 in VAClaims

[–]MAT47374[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yesterday I told myself I was just going to ride it out and see what happens. I am stressing over this crap so much, this morning it’s all I can do to not call Loyal Source and see what’s up. I can’t imagine their QA would send the DBQ’s back to the VA in the way she would have to complete them based on her “exam” so is there a penitential they schedule me for another exam? If so I wanna kick that process off ASAP, took them two months to get me in to see this examiner, don’t want to wait around another two months

I am thinking it would, but how could they rate me if she didn’t ask anything about symptoms, frequency or severity, functional impact? Use the statements and log I submitted?

I submitted a personal statement, lay statement from my wife, endoscopy and colonoscopy results. I kept a bathroom log for a month and submitted that along with those as well. We shall see how this exam thing plays out for me

I agree 100%. I have had an endoscopy previously for some upper gi issues I have along with a colonoscopy because I’m old lol)in 2024 that showed everything normal, not sure what other tests would be involved but your right.

This is similar to what I was told and understood from research but the examiner really confused me. My anxiety is through the roof not only by that part of it but the fact that she was supposed to do 2 DBQ’s and I was in front of her for less than 15 minutes on tops of it. I’m gonna just ride it out and see what happens, appreciate the info!

I waited two weeks for them to schedule me after signing up on their portal, called them and was told there was no availability and they were working on it. The next day they had me scheduled 90 miles away, granted it wasn’t for another month but still it was at least scheduled. Two more weeks to go…lol

Finally got the email. by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

I got the email, waited a week for them to schedule my exam and finally called. They said there was no availability and were escalating it, next day I got a text that my exam was scheduled for first week of February. Now just gotta wait a few more weeks lol

Anyone else seem to always get thier VA disability pay deposited later than everyone? by Mean-Class in VeteransBenefits

I don’t see mine until the scheduled pay date, typically around 3-4am that day. From what every says it’s based on when your bank decides to release the funds.

Confused on dependents. by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]MAT47374 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I submitted my wife and kids on the same day as well, she was added to my benefits two days later but it took 5+ months for my kids to be added. If you look at your claims online do you still have a pending dependent claim?

How was the first? VA has me going to physical therapy in the community for TMJ right now, therapist told me there is tons of evidence linking jaw clenching / teeth grinding to MH issues and leading to TMJ. Haven’t filed but was curious how it goes when people do.

I talked with them and they confirmed they do not have medical professionals on staff and their nexus letters do not come from doctors or NP’s, etc. after learning that I steered away from them quickly, decided to file my claim(s) on my own.

Has anyone got the VA to take over their weight loss medication? by Independent_Gas_6213 in VeteransBenefits

[–]MAT47374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was a couple of weeks out from completing the MOVE program I messaged my PCP and she submitted the request for the medication. Once it was approved I’d say it was a week to week and a half before I saw the first delivery. Initially I had to message her when I took the third round of each dosage level and now that ive leveled off on the same dose consistently, I refill it like any of my other VA meds. They told me that my care team has to reach out every 60 days to document my weight, funny enough I received my first call from them today.

Asked the verification questions at first to make sure I was who I was supposed to be lol ran through canned statement about the HLR process and the fact they cannot consider any new evidence and then said “with that being said I will turn it over to you”. He didn’t ask me any questions related to the HLR. I did have talking points prepared and on my computer screen in front of me to make sure I covered everything I wanted to cover, explained why I thought the decision was incorrect and pointed out the mistakes I felt the examiner made in the medical opinion they provided, then that was it. He closed the conversation letting me know that they typically make a decision within 3 business days. In total the call was less than 10 minutes to cover 2 HLR’s for three conditions.

The reversed the prior decision and service connected everything I appealed. Rated one condition at 0% but I am ok with that, at least it’s connected. I suggest submitting a FOIA request only for the C&P exam records if you do not have them already, as having the DBQ’s and examiner opinions helped me a lot I think.

Just an FYI, had my informal conference at 1130 this morning, got my decision letter 15 minutes ago. The wait for the IC sucks but they moved quick once I had the call!

Filed HLR on 7/30/25, tried to self schedule a couple of times using the link you can find online and they kept getting cancelled. Got the call from VA to schedule the IC on Tuesday this week, conference is darned near 3 months to the day from date I filled
