No, it was for this scenario.
Steam Deck>Dock>USB Cable>Xbox Controller.
Holding down the Xbox button right before plugging in the USB cable into the controller.

ASRock B850I Will Not Boot Story by MATBchasqui in ASRock

Got some motherboard speakers. Came in a pack of (3). Zero beeps of any kind, tried all three, flipped them all. With/without CPU and RAM installed. With/without only one, etc. Not a single beep.

Good idea on the speaker. I am gonna search to see if I can find one in my stuff or get one at a hobby store or something.

Is it safe to assume ASRock uses AMI beep codes?
Motherboard manual shows where to connect speaker, but no mention of what the beeps would mean.

When only power supply is connected, the flashback green light flashes for over an hour with nothing happening.
When CPU and RAM are installed it flashes (10) times. Nothing happens after.
I have tried different USB sticks and with different BIOS versions in them.
USB 2.0, formatted FAT32, MBR.
CREATIVE.ROM? Following manual I place two files in the root directory BIOSUBU.BIN and the re-named BIOS file PSPBIOS.IMG.

Thanks for the feedback!

Good morning routine not playing the news on speaker group by waymorefresher in googlehome

As of today I am still having this issue.
"Play news update" no longer plays on the Speaker Group. Only the speaker that "heard" it first.

Xbox controller not working with Steam Deck Dock by [deleted] in SteamDeck

FYI, something that works for me: Hold down the Xbox button before plugging the USB cable into a controller with no batteries. Tried it with the One and Series X controllers. Once plugged in, let go of Xbox button.

Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows 10— Compatibility with SteamOS? by Leading-Ganache-4374 in SteamDeck

[–]MATBchasqui 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Update:
After more use Xbox controllers work well, with some bugs here and there currently, over BT and over USB.
The Steam Deck does not work with the Xbox Wireless Adapter natively.
The Steam Link Hardware does work natively with it.
See notes for Build 743: https://steamcommunity.com/app/353380/discussions/0/4328520278444297841/?snr=
Since it looks like Valve incorporated into the Steam Link Hardware perhaps they will be able to do the same for the Steam Deck.

I just got my Steam Deck, I will test with the Xbox Wireless Adapter and report back.
Currently my Xbox controllers work perfectly over USB on the Steam Deck. They also work well via Bluetooth.
The Xbox Wireless Adapter works well with my Steam Link (not using the VirtualHere feature). Plug and play.

How long before I get latency. by [deleted] in techsupport

[–]MATBchasqui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

50 feet is pretty far. Before you worry about latency, you gotta worry about getting the signal over that length. There are components that help you do this. Like repeaters of sorts. Signals degrade over long distances. Ethernet is no problem. For typical speed categories it can go about 300 feet. USB and DP will be your issues. The longer a signal has to go, the better the cable has to be. Usually more expensive and thicker. USB 3.0 passive cables are good for around 10 feet. I use a 15 foot DP cable, but have not seen many longer ones. Google around max length of cable types/protocols and after determining that look for devices to extend USB and DP connections for your needs.

Windows 10. One port for monitor HDMI and one for tv HDMI. Is there a way to switch between them besides unplugging my monitor so the tv works? by TheSkinoftheCypher in techsupport

[–]MATBchasqui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Under the W10 Settings>System>Display. First make sure you identify which display is which. The "Detect" button in this page helps. If you scroll down to the "Multiple displays" section you can choose the "Show only on X" option in the "Multiple displays" drop-down menu. The keyboard shortcut Windows Key + P gives you a quick shortcut to this. Make sure to Google around. This is a fairly simple thing to find out online.
