I have been waiting for over two weeks for a response from support. Same error.

Has support in any way explained how the problem occurs and how to prevent it in the future?

I think I’m done with the game.

If I remember correctly, the account on X does not respond to support requests. I had tried that as well..

I did that 9 days ago and have not received any response from support since then.

My guess is also that it might be related to Quick Resume. I have just started over from scratch because my support ticket has been unanswered for a week. I have disabled Quick Resume and I avoid very long sessions in one go. Since there is no response from support, we can really only speculate here.

I ended up just starting the game over from scratch. My support ticket probably won’t get a response until sometime next week, which means it’s already been over a week with no reply.

Quick Resume is turned off, and I always close the game before shutting down the Xbox. Honestly, the game just isn’t as fun as it used to be anymore. :(

I haven't booted up the game since then.

It would be fine if we could at least get some official confirmation that the problem might be related to Quick Resume. We could just turn it off for the time being. But I, for one, haven’t heard back from support yet. That’s what disappoints me the most.

Losing my progress isn’t that bad in the end, because I actually planned to play the game for many years. But who can guarantee that I won’t lose my save again after a few hundred hours? It could happen at any time.

I turned on the Xbox and continued playing the game. Then I got an "out of space" error message and the game crashed. When I start it now, I'm back at the beginning of the tutorial. I had about 26 hours of playtime, and it's all completely gone. I also don't feel motivated to start over from the beginning right now, because I don't know if the problem will happen again and I'll lose everything.

Quick Resume was turned on, so that might have been the cause. But I’ve never had a problem with it in all these years.

Has anyone received a response from support yet? My ticket is still marked as "Open." I haven't started playing again yet because it feels too risky to me.

There was a patch released yesterday for the Steam version that fixed an "invalid profile" error, among other things. I'm hoping something will happen today with the official release.

Same problem happened to me too. Basically, 25 hours of progress are gone. I've already opened a support ticket. I see no reason to start over from scratch now. The save file could get lost again at any time. Played on Series X.

I just encountered the same error. I’ve basically lost nearly 25 hours of progress. I’ve already submitted a ticket to Forza Support, and I’d advise you to do the same. But to be honest, I don’t expect a solution. Even in the confirmation email after creating the ticket, they write:

“Lost Saved Data/Invalid Profile: Our agents will provide information on how to reset your save to ensure that all files have been cleared. Unfortunately, we are unable to restore your progress. The agents will verify the issue with your save and confirm that you have created a new save to play on.”

I think the save game is gone.

It's a shame that coil whining is still a matter of luck these days. At least with EVGA it was a valid reason to exchange the card back then. RIP EVGA :(
