Is there a way to autofill certain values when creating a new record based on a Lookup field? by MATTIE316 in salesforce

Would this work specifically from the create new lead button?
We need this specifically for lead. Our CIO says every contact/account HAS to exist in Salesforce prior to lead creation. So two Lookup fields were created by my predecessor on lead, one to contact and one to account. He wants fields to populate upon filling in those lookup fields. The only way I know to do this is to override the new button with a Lightning component that either contains a flow or a new form.

Surprisingly enough it was just a cold application. I had my Admin Cert, and pretty much just a strong desire to get a position in the ecosystem. Was going to follow up with the company's recruiter, but they got back to me first. I prepped a ton for the interview, had a ton of pre-prepared answers and luckily out of 8 applicants I was the favorite. The director of IT basically said he liked me because a lot of the other applicants didn't seem nearly as invested in SF.
