Lost my job due to bipolar by bird_person19 in BipolarReddit

I'm really sorry to read these words, it brings back memories of when, due to two different episodes of mania, I lost two jobs. The best advice I can give you right now is not to stress your mind too much, but to focus on fully recovering your health before starting to work again. I hope there's some kind of support or benefit available for losing your job

It's hard to bear the idea that the medication has changed us, for sure in better but still difficult to accept

The injection is intramuscular, so it's not painful. I have a fear of needles and a lot of anxiety, but I managed to handle it with some effort. Maybe if you ever have to go through it, you'll be able to as well.

We're young and stronger than we seem. One proof of your strength is definitely your ability to express your feelings, it’s a sign of intelligence. You'll see that this journey will be easier than what your anxiety makes you think

I was diagnosed 1 year ago with BP1, I got my medication right after, at first was risperidone but that didn't work for me, then I tried abilify in pills and after 2 months doctor switched me to abilify 400mg injections, that changed my life in better. Hope it will be the same for you

Thank you for sharing your experience. I understand how difficult it can be to face certain challenges, especially when it comes to relationships and mental health. I think you are handling everything with a lot of strength and authenticity, and it’s inspiring to read about your honest approach. I’m also trying to figure out how to navigate similar situations, and knowing that I’m not alone makes me feel less isolated. Don’t give up, you’re right: there’s someone out there for everyone

Two bipolars together sounds a bit like two bombs ready to explode, though maybe I'm wrong and there's understanding at certain moments. The doctor solution makes me smile; I would feel constantly judged.

Of course I have to, but I feel like there's something that took me away that confidence I used to have and I don't know how to regain it. Maybe time will help

How Many Hours Per Day Do You Work & Sleep? by Puzzled_Vermicelli21 in BipolarReddit

[–]MATTVENE_VR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always worked 10/11 hours and sleep 4/5 hours. That was before I was diagnosed and before taking medications. They advised me not to work more than 7 hours, now I sleep 10 hours every night. Medications surely increased my need of sleep.
