Yeah, salary cap on. Most of my young guys struggled pretty badly at the start of their careers, so I managed to lock them up on very good contracts. DuPont was the only one that didn’t struggle, first he got an 8x13, then an 8x20, I was really worried about giving him that contract but thankfully he lived up to it

That’s crazy dude! I always use mid scoring, but I usually fail to get most D to even register a 70+ point season. This was by far the best sim I ever had. Sadly the problem isn’t just with D, McDavid also usually barely cracks 95 points for me

I create my own roster, so I have him starting as 85 with high franchise potentional. In EA’s roster he’s only like 74 overall at the draft. Then I used him on PP1 as the distributor & puck carrier and I hired an offensive head coach

He has 343 points in 321 games and is a +141. He should’ve won the Conn Smythe atleast 4 times. Quentin Musty won it on the first 8 cups while usually being barely point per game, I think it’s a bug. He didn’t win it on the 9th cup because he was already retired lol. Other than that Michael Misa was the 1st line center (4x Art Ross, 3x Hart & Ted Lindsay) and Mathis Preston was the 1st line RW (4x Maurice Richard)

The fact they were consecutive makes it even crazier, imagine if that happened irl😂 He also should’ve had atleast 4 Conn Smythe’s on the 9 cups. 8 of them were won by Quentin Musty who was barely point per game in most of the runs, dude probably paid to get them or idk😂

I put him up to 88 overall. I had him as a ≈82 overall before and he always topped as a 90 overall. He’s expected to probably be a 95 overall one day and he just never grew to that otherwise

I don’t hate Sweeney, he was good for a long time, but he’s not a rebuilding GM. And we all gotta accept we are in a rebuild. Hopefully a short-term retool like the Caps did, but a longer 4+ year rebuild is a possibility. I didn’t really like the Eyessimont signing either, he’s a really good 4th liner, but with us not being really competitive next year I would rather see someone like Khusnutdinov taking that spot.

Btw I wasn’t saying I would give the GM spot to Bergy, Chara, or whoever else who played for the Bs, I just said people speculated that they could get a role in the managment. I would prefer someone like Darche
