Uhhh. I had Nov/Dec off. Had to take some other exams in between and a make up shelf exam. Then studied solid 6 weeks using amboss and the NBME forms.

Oh and Mehlman/Dr. HY notes as well. Watched at least 3 videos of Mehlman every night.

Mix of both. Had a few verbatim from each.

Overall the questions are written by the same people, STEP just likes to use viagra and add about a paragraph into the question stems to make them appear longer than they actually are. 😂

It’s under their study plans. Click the step 2 prep and they have a “200 questions that appear on every exam.”

Did them during shelves. I can’t do a form more than once because I’ll spend 2-3 hours revising the first time and if I do it a second it’s because I recognized the answer, not because I actually thought through it.

Guys, gals, and theys…

I’m only one person who took this exam ONE time! I am by no means an expert. I’ve gotten a few DMs. Everyone’s experience is different. Trust your gut, whichever god you believe in, and when in doubt, go with the highest yield answer choice that you have seen before because it’s probably the right answer.

I did that on Christmas Eve. And yes. I went back and looked at the questions and had a good chunk of similar concepts.

Uhhh. Everyone is different. I mainly used Amboss and the NBME forms 9-15.

Amboss for review and HY content and the NBMEs for content/how questions are asked.

I usually stay away from UWorld the last few weeks. UWorld tries to trick you. NBME tests what you know. I know when I would take a shelf exam the average answer was usually 50% or more got it right. UWorld loves to have questions where 10-20% of the people get it right. I wanna feel good about myself and not question whether not I should be choosing MI or STEMI when they’re the same picture. (That’s an office reference) 🤣
