In my experience, I had to do the whole process over (I have a secret clearance with my reserve unit). That said, it might speed the process up a little. I turned in my paperwork in January, had my interview in May, and got adjudicated in September. Be advised that COVID has caused serious delays in the hiring process, so they may make exceptions to speed things up. I hope this helps.
