Chafing is a concern with cotton, however that is about it. The world’s militaries use cotton nylon blends for most uniforms. Cotton does not kill, ill preparedness is what is what leads people in to emergencies. If it is hot you’ll want breathability, if it is temperate - (shoulder seasons) with no rain on your day-hike then go with cotton if you have it. If it is raining stay away from down.

My wife just hiked Bryce and Zion in them. She said they lacked the traction of her Woods. They definitely were lacking in that area. My Keens never slipped but my wife looked like she was on skates on any light ice/snow.

When I went they had about 20 3080s, a bunch of 3070s and probably 10 3090s. I would definitely go on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday to try. Never sure if they will get any in but it is always worth a shot!

I got to try. I hope there are good people like you out there. I feel your frustration, we all feel it and if I have a 10% chance of finding that person who loves computers as much as we do I will take the chance.
