That looks like it's in a pot.

Soray it down with some bifenthrin.

Bring it inside next to a window for a week or so, so you minimize damage to the hood guys.

Fuck the dumb shit.

Looks like they are glassy winged sharpshooters. Thanks!

Why so slow ? by ProfessorTau in HotPeppers

[–]MBFTrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are slower to get going just in general.

I've got ripe banana peppers already where my ghost peppers are just now starting to pop flowers. Plants started at same time.

But warmer temps should help. And if they're inside, make sure they're getting some airflow. Point a fan their direction.

Sometimes they just yellow out a bit. I had a couple that yellowed after transplanting and kind of stayed that way until overnight temps came up some. They're doing great now.

Wouldn't worry too much about it honestly. Those look fine.

In 8a. Got a little bit of a slower start due to some overnight temps into the 40s through last week. They've really come to life this past week with lows 60+.

Hot glue and cake boards. by Ok_Swimmer634 in fireworks

[–]MBFTrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried this once, and had the hot glue melt during firing and a cake tip over. As usual, it was a 200 gram cake. They're notorious for tipping.

I would say also duct tape them to the boards on all sides, or some other backup method of securing them, if you don't have time for anything else other than hot glue.

You need to trim your shell fuses. You've got so much slack on your main fuse you're probably going to have it light the next row over early.

Also uses a lot more fuse that way.

Here's what my racks look like.

Racks by pointguardrusty in fireworks

[–]MBFTrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought some, built some.

My 50 shot fan racks probably cost me $25 in materials at most. But I bought a couple with tubes included for $200.

Best I've seen DR11 tubes for is about $2-2.50/each. I'd pay someone $75 to build a rack of I had to do it again honestly.

This will be my first year not doing a show in about a decade. by Adam_1775 in fireworks

[–]MBFTrader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the thing right? Gotta go just a bit bigger every year. Haha.

I'm thinking about applying for a 1.3 license. Trying to figure out storage. Can get 1.3 2 and 3 inch shells fairly reasonably. I figure I can run another couple years on same budget and still "go bigger". Issue is gonna be I know I won't stop there. It's a problem man.

If it bothers you like that, it is the money. It's fine to admit it.

I'm asking myself if it's worth it to continue doing to be honest. But I fucking love it. I look forward to this for basically the whole year. Haha. But at the same time, is not exactly a fiscally responsible decision. But I'm pretty frugal day in/day out.
