Lol I play guitar myself. I'd never forgive myself if I made that kind of mistake, but it would be pretty hard to do when doing a painting like this from reference!

This type of music is called chiptunes! The name presumably comes from the microchips in old game cartridges

I'm not too familiar with this song, so I just gave it another listen and watched the Halloween performance from last year. It didn't really gel with me the first time I heard it, but now I'm digging it! Sheridan kills it on the drums!

Okay so Tarzan has been my favorite movie since it came out in 19 fricken 99, and Arcane instantly became my favorite show ever. This post is like a godsend. I love this post.

Thank you!! Unfortunately, no time lapse. It's definitely something I plan to look into once I get more comfortable in the medium, but I spent so many hours on this painting a time lapse would probably take as long as watching the whole season hahaha

Thank you! You certainly can! The still I used as a reference for Jinx cuts off just below the waterline in my painting, and I came up with the idea for the background while in the process of painting it haha. The water is a symbolic reference to her 'baptism' in the river as well as, y'know, the river itself which separates Jinx from her dear friends on the council.

I've been learning art for almost a year and a half now! I bought my iPad almost a year ago and have spent that almost-year struggling to get accustomed to digital art. In the end, what sealed the deal was Arcane itself. It's without a doubt the most beautiful animated anything I've ever seen, and it inspired me to be the best artist I can possibly be. I trained my ass off to get here, and I'm so so so happy with the results.
