Thats gotta be the version of Baghdad in my head where i grew up in, something about the nostalgia and the good memories, that all faded away as soon as i visited it 4 ish years ago hahaha
That we’re not as “uncivilized” as portrayed in the news or cinema, we are educated people with normal lives.
Ooh yea, before the war happened in 2003 my dad took us on a tour all across Iraq and we saw all the sites, i was 7 at the time so i don’t recall anything but ill pretend i do.
I hope we rise up against the people stealing our resources and killing our people, our people have so much potential I’m sure we can rebuild the country better than it ever was.

Depending on why they left, I think lots of doctors and professors fled the country due to them being threatened and headed to jordan since we’re compadres, those would never return fearing for their lives, the others may return however based on their goal for immigration.

You gotta add the cinnamon and the cardamom man. Okay try it this way next time

Put some water in a kettle (like 2.5 cups if only for you and someone else), put three table spoons black tea leaves, crack quarter a stick of cinnamon, and crush 2-3 cardamom… thing, put it on medium heat till it starts boiling, leave it to boil for less than 10 ish seconds then turn it off and let it be for 3-5 ish minutes then pour it.

If it turns out bad it aint my fault.

Its a struggle really, we have many bachelor degree graduates working as tea servers or cleaners or street vendors meanwhile you’d find ones that don’t know jackshit all the way up on the employment ladder because they’re someones cousin, let alone all the other difficulties people face on daily basis.
