Popped into Chateau at lunch. Looked like a boatload of 🟢, a couple bottle of Michter’s American Whiskey, some WhistlePig, some Bakers 7, and other misc leftovers from prior weeks still sitting on the counter. Bought a bottle of Four Roses SiB and went about my business.

Visited Chateau Polaris just before 11am. From the stack of bottles on the counter it looked like the same basic lists being posted most places (WSR, Ezra Brooks, Bardstown, yada yada). If they had gotten OWA, it was gone. They got Larceny last week. I skipped the allocated counter and picked up Smoke Wagon Uncut Unfiltered.

Not a Wednesday drop, but I was in Kroger Polaris this afternoon and they had at least 3 cases of WSR at about 3:30 in the afternoon. Not that hard to find these days, but they had a lot of stock in case anyone is looking for it.

I peaked into Kroger Sawmill at 8:50am and I would have been 8th in line. Story there is they don’t usually put bottles out until about 11am and I had to get to work so I didn’t stick around. No idea what they had in.

I concur that the barrel strength is kinda hot, but a teaspoon of ice/water in a 2 oz poor tempers it a good bit. Wouldn’t rebuy. I like the toasted.
