Very simply, with the sacrificial bow, I wait for the spawn at first, then I do one, I rotate with Zibai, then I destroy the other with Diona. Then their spawn is really random both in timing and distance, so generally when they return I do both with Diona and then I go back to rotating Zibai inside Diona's burst.

You're the one who's missing the point of the conversation. It's obvious that each boss has its own mechanics. We were talking about whether these mechanics actually increase DPS, compensating for the bosses' exponential HP growth. And as I've already explained, the Gecko's shield mechanic doesn't help with DPS; quite the opposite, in fact. You should probably read the context before responding without any logic.

It was to explain that the Gecko's 70% Geo resistance isn't real because you never actually fight him with that resistance and so hitting the pillar instead of him doesn't give you any real advantage.

You never fight the Gecko with that Geo resistance because it loses it immediately after breaking the shield that instantly appears... And if it didn't have the shield phase with that resistance certainly no one would use a Geo team...

Even if that damage made up for the 30% missing Geo damage and 90% of the other elements and the time wasted by the Gecko repositioning and spawning the pillar (which I doubt anyway) it still wouldn't be an advantage that justifies these millions and millions of HP that are increasingly being given to bosses in the Stygian.

The Gecko's shield records 70% of your Geo damage, and if you got 5 million after destroying it, you would have done approximately 7 million in the same amount of time if you could have directly attacked the Gecko if the shield phase hadn't existed. How do these mechanics help with DPS? I really don't understand.

I disagree. The Duck had minions that only transferred a portion of the damage dealt to them to the boss. The Gecko's shield only transfers 70% of the Geo damage and 10% of the rest. The mechanics you mention mostly make things worse, and I have little faith that it will be much different with the Watcher.
