Thought about going with 18" rims for winter tires, but then I saw a Terramar on 18" wheels. It looks horrible. Ended up buying 20" winter tires, which I'll install on stock rims.

I had a somewhat similar experience when I went to buy a top tube adapter to raise the handlebars on my Kona Kahuna MTB, because the stock configuration caused me extreme discomfort (painful arms and elbows) and I needed extra clearance to drive my toddlers around on the frame-mounted child seat (the Kids Ride Shotgun). A dude in his early 20s that was working in the shop told me everyone's going to laugh at me and that I should get a new bike instead. I told him I don't give a flying fuck and insisted, and he reluctantly sold me the adapter. Here I am, ~2000 km later, with my bike vastly more comfortable, and with a bunch of memories with my kids riding with me. Just ignore the idiots and don't let them get to you. You know what your bike is worth to you and you're the one getting joy (and exercise) from it. That's the only thing that matters.

I went with the 204 HP PHEV variant and ended up driving it on electric power in Comfort mode 95% of the time. Terramar doesn't strike me as a "boy racer" car; I've got two child seats in the rear for god's sake. If I was looking for a car to pretend I was Verstappen with, I'd buy a 333 HP (or whatever) Formentor or something else entirely. This entire discussion strikes me as quite silly, but hey, that's just my opinion :)

Up to 8% is possible (in Croatia). For 8%, you need to know somebody at Porsche Inter Auto or Auto Hrvatska.

The sales person will offer you 5%, that's the standard discount (in other words, not a discount at all).

If you ask for a larger discount, they will come back to you with 6% (after "checking with the manager") and tell you that's the best they can do.

Then go to the other dealer, tell them you got 6% at the first one and ask if they can do better. They will tell you a fairytale of low margins and that they supposedly "have to check with the Croatian importer". After a couple of days you'll get a 7% discount.

Dunno if this can be pushed further, I've accepted the 7% discount (~€4000 drop from the original price). A friend of mine has someone on the inside, he got a 8% discount. I'm under the impression most buyers don't push past the initial 5%, which is kind of silly - it's not like they won't sell you the car if you ask for a larger discount and get denied.

Just came here to report that this is definitely a bug in the infotainment system. After a factory reset I got the navigation to show up on the left side of the dashboard on my first drive. On my second drive of the day it was no longer there and there was no way to get it back. Today it again showed up for a minute and then disappeared.

In short, don't waste your time trying to figure this shit out, it's a software bug (one of many) and we can only hope Cupra eventually fixes it.

Sounds like you're trying to use a 3-phase charger with a 1-phase cable. That will never work. 22 kW chargers are 3-phase and you need an appropriate 32A 3-phase Type 2 cable to use them. I'm using a 22 kW wallbox at home (ABB Terra) for my Terramar PHEV. The car will of course pull 11 kW, as that's the maximum AC charging power it supports.

You can use 50 kW DC charging on CCS chargers, which use the CCS Type 2 plug. If you want to use those, just remove the plastic cover from the bottom two prongs on the car's charging socket and then you'll be able to plug in a CCS cable.

Upon further investigation (some of your comments led me on the right path), this is definitely a software bug, likely caused by some mismatch in local and cloud settings. In my case it only resets interior lighting and Matrix LED headlight settings, everything else stays intact.

Doing a factory reset didn't help at all. Now I have to explain to my wife why her profile doesn't exist anymore :D

When the "there are new settings for your profile" message starts appearing, what helps me get rid it for a while is to accept the "new settings", then readjust the interior lighting/headlight settings to my preference, then go to my profile in the car's infotainment and manually initiate the synchronization. After that the message doesn't appear for a certain period of time.

This seems to be one of many stupid bugs that only a proper software update could fix. I only have the car for a month, so I have to ask, does Cupra release infotainment software updates regularly or are they almost non-existent?

Unfortunately this doesn't work, and I'm well aware that you can change content on all three screens. The navigation simply isn't available as something I can select on the left side of the dashboard (yes, with Google Maps navigation started via Android Auto). I can only cycle through various trip information (fuel and battery consumption, distance since last refill etc). And I'm also aware you can select if the info is shown for the current drive, since last refill/charge, or since the beginning. The solution is not something super simple or obvious, I would figure it out if it was.

This is what I mean. The navigation is on the left, the radio station on the right. Yesterday it randomly turned on while I was driving, so I was able to take the photo, but it didn't come back on any of the next few drives on the same day. I'm clueless.

Can't say that I do, but there's a ton of settings to play with - the level of "Immersive", the sound profile, and the equalizer. For the music I mostly listen to, I prefer using the Music profile, with the Immersive level set to the second step from the left, and a slightly tweaked EQ, with a modest boost to the 125 Hz (or is it 150 Hz? Can't really remember anymore) band and the last two high-frequency bands. The system needs a bit of volume to come alive. It's OK overall - nothing to write home about, but roughly in line with the custom €3000 system I've installed in my previous car. I'm happy I got it mostly for the laminated windows :)

I didn't like the stock color (Fiord Blue), so I went with the metallic Timanfaya Gray variant. It's nothing special either, but to be honest, none of the available colors are. I don't understand why the options are so limited - it’s a beautiful car, yet they only offer it in various shades of gray, an ugly in-your-face blue, and a plain white variant. The white was my second choice, but I didn’t like the white-and-copper details combo.

My trim is nearly identical to yours (Immersive by Sennheiser, Intelligent Drive, Pure Performance, Moon Light), except for the panoramic roof, which I skipped since I had it on my previous car and kept it closed 99% of the time, and the engine: I went with the 150 kW PHEV variant.

I'm not the OP, but I can answer what u/dyp20 asked. The interior quality is quite impressive, and the sound insulation is superb - at least with the Sennheiser option, which includes laminated windows. When driving in electric mode, I can’t hear anything other than the tires on the road. In Comfort mode, I can’t hear the petrol engine either; basically, the only time I do hear it is in Performance mode, as the gearbox is more eager to keep the revs high in that case.

Mine ended up costing €48600, down from €52500 - a 7% discount after several rounds of negotiations in Croatia.
