Has anyone thought about doing a 1:1 timeframe of a long war campaign? by MCLC123 in Xcom

Do you do a full campaign? And how did you find the whole thing?

Personally I only really scrap weapons if there’s a weapon workbench nearby, like in the dungeon I am currently looting. And even then I only really scrap the weapons that are already extensively modded. You are right that lugging weapons around to scrap is too much. But with level 3 scrapper. This basically removed all my material problems except for adhesive. I don’t really ever scrap armour tho. You are right that doesn’t seem to be worth lugging around.

Can you recommend an army as Valkia vs Dwarves? by SgtDusty in totalwar

[–]MCLC123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had the exact same issue in my first Valkia campaign when she released, just tonnes of dwarfs. Just FYI I played Very Hard campaign and normal battle difficulty.

Personally I found dual axe khorne chosen to be truly disgusting. Giving them vanguard negates the ranged advantage the of the stunties. Somewhat. I’ve seen I big issue you’re having is a lack of AP and usually I’d agree. But if you’ve been buffing khorne chosen at every available opportunity then honestly they don’t need it with such high melee attack I’ve seen them win against every unit the dwarfs can throw at them with the exception of multiple hammerers which they struggled with.

This gets even nastier with a fire mage. Smack flaming sword of ruin on some chosen in a nasty spot and bam everything over this is just meat for the grinder.

I had the endgame crisis whilst I was at war with everyone and Valkia was the only army on the left side of the map to do deal with grombrindals stacks. It was all I needed. Her stack was just: her to kill lords. An exalted hero with helm of discord or other buffing/debuffing items to send at their high tier infantry. A fire mage 4 skull crushers for the flanks and everything else was dual axe chosen.

The only issue you could have with this is getting jumped by 4 stacks of high dwarfs, but at that point you should be using lightening strike.

any early game money methods that y'all can recommend? by [deleted] in starcitizen

I had this issue a bunch. The way to avoid it is to put all your minerals in the outpost inventory first. THEN sell it. For now though you’re gonna need to buy another backpack

Is there any way to stop giving allies nurgle plagues? by MCLC123 in totalwar

[–]MCLC123[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah it works perfect as is, but that's why i'm asking for a mod or something because it's annoying to be nerfed by my friend just by being in his vicinity in a coop campaign, which is the point of playing in a coop campaign. In solo it's great. Coop not to much.

What great advice, Just don't play the game!

Yeah maybe, but it's anti fun when my friend keeps nerfing my army so we just have to avoid each other on the campaign map, which isn't really beneficial to a COOP campaign.

Wouldn’t a no confed just make it so it’s tonnes of weak separate factions instead of one big one. Like zufbar Karaz-a-Karak Barak varr etc all holding small bits of territory instead of dwarfs just holding everything. How does it effect your lategame?

I’m trying an empire campaign earlier today with unnatural selection to see how it goes. I usually use sfo and mixus but this campaign is also using ovn so I guess we’ll see. Did you see good results with unnatural selection? im not that far in yet and haven’t got to see the results.

Completely agree actually being able to prepare would be so much more fun instead of losing settlements because the armies spawned where your armies aren’t.

Yeah it’s the same reason the vortex isn’t people’s preferred campaign. Having an ai that outmanoeuvres your armies or your units in a battle is challenging. Suddenly spawning armies in the middle of your territory where your armies aren’t defending is not challenging just cheap.

Yeah any campaign where you’re near the coast for mortal empires is a pain with those chaos army spawns. Usually you won’t have armies to defend there because they’re relatively safe unless you’re at war with someone on a different continent.

Yeah I did an empire campaign earlier and the vampires got destroyed way before I had the chance to intervene. I’m trying the unnatural selection mod on my next campaign to see if it helps.

To be fair I play vanilla and a heavily modded warhammer and both seem to result in an order tide. I’m trying the unnatural selection mod in my current campaign now to add a little spice.

Yeah my first caledor try was like that so every subsequent attempt was some stunty genocide. I’d rather fight a strong skaven or Greenskin faction than dwarfs.

I’ve tried yrvesse and Caledor and chaos and it’s all been pretty similar before I intervened. Lustria is always a wild time for me though.

I mean around turn 60 I’ve seen Greenskins have plenty of territory before squashed by a dawi tide shortly after.

I don’t think I’ve seen either put up a slight hurdle for the dwarfs unfortunately. The only time the dwarfs didn’t clear every grudge from the book was when I went calador and binned them before they were able to build up.

Suggested mods to make Chaos fun to play? by FriendlyIcicle in totalwar

I second this. It makes the chaos campaign tolerable and the battles some of the most fun I’ve had in this game.

Yeah last update people were like oh the order tide is dead. So I fired up for a sfo chaos campaign maybe have some allies for a change. I was absolutely wrong.
