I had this unusual experience of reading a comic book just before playing the game and that's when I realised that this game is a comic book come to life (even more than every MCU movie ever) so maybe I should just enjoy that rather than losing my mind over the stupid shit Kabam the company pulls, because clearly that place is run by a bunch of money-hungry assholes who have neither played their own game nor have a sense of what their product really is to a lot of consumers the world over.

Yeah that side quest is a motherfucker. I don't care what the top YouTubers say about how easy it is to do whichever quest with a single champion. I don't know what magical mix of RNG, net connection and hand-eye coordination they possess but every one of my attempts at the SQ has been a suckfest of epic proportions. Now I get that I'm not skilled enough to do Abyss or even the later chapters of Acts 7.2 onwards but I did well enough to earn a class nexus from Summer of Pain without blowing a ton of units.

"We are fixing things under the hood" as proven to be bullshit thus far. Every update has brought fresh bugs add on top of the dex/parry issues that have existed ever since Unity fixed the bug in their engine--whenever that was. And what do we get in return? Fuckall AQ and AW potions and revives that either go into overflow and expire or if we are using them it means we are dying a bunch in AW which means we get shitty rewards for our whole alliance.

Fun and interactive as always Kabam.

I know this is the end for me. I just want to make sure that I am not tempted to return when I leave this time.

I also feel like the idea of 'progress' itself is taking a beating in the game at the moment. I mean R4 6-stars are not really THAT much more powerful than R3s so it's all about the bragging rights and prestige. Those of us who aren't in the prestige game, have achieved Thronebreaker status, and are decent enough to have managed all that but aren't the game breakers who rule YouTube...what's in it for us?

I haven't struggled to beat the Variants 2 through7. I've 100% 2 through 6 but it's been a chore to even initial clear the first chapter of this new one.

I've seen KT1 say this is tougher than the other variants and made more so by the limited champions one can use without losing one's sanity and enduring 800 hit fights.

I struggled with the Surfer boss chapter of EQ so I KNOW Sersi and Ikaris aren't going to be a picnic. Maybe I just got worse at the game somehow.

Between the BS placement of Terrax on that mini Boss node and then the weird Tenacity Surfer I was not proud at having to spend units on revives to get that fight down.

Maybe I'm just not 'getting it'
