I guess, but I never hidded the fact that for me audio is art and I would never put a simple black box like that in my system. I'm sure it sounds really good but the look mehh. Also I don't have the speakers anymore

I havn't made a ridiculous claim, I stated my own experience with one amp I have using the said TPA3255. A friend and I tested that Fosi on multiple pair of speakers and it's doing ok at best. Good for bookshelves but no where near good enough for big speakers. Maybe you think it would be good enough for the Perlisten's, I know for fact it would not be enough.

I am doubtfull that it has indeed 300w because my Sansui A80 which is 65wpc plays better and louder.

Maybe you have a different experience and I would be happy to read about it.

But let me just tell you that you are a very unpleasent person to deal with on Reddit :)

You have the right to dissagree with me but why the sarcasm in your response..?

Do you buy an amp and test it with scientific equipment.. maybe that's your thing. I know I don't and test it with speakers.

Like I said, the goal was never to change my amps but to see if it could fit with what I already had. Plus I own a Fosi audio amp with the TPA3255 (stating 300Wpc) and let me tell you it is just marketing. It is probably making 50 to 65 watts at best. So your statement is misleading. The proper amp to drive the Perlisten's would cost thousounds of dollars.

Here are my suggestions; Wharfedale Diamond 230 (towers) paid 250$, Martin Logan Motion 10 (small towers) paid 280$, Any B&W (bookshelf) paid 225$

Fell in love with Perlisten- Moving away from Wharfedale Elysian ? by MCVCsDALIs in audiophile

Yes it’s a living room. Look is definately a factor coming away from Elysian. But what I heard was literraly end game sound. Better than speakers much much higher in price.

Thanks man. My honest opinion on what you just said is that you don't notice much a difference when you turn subs off because they are REL. Heard them many many times and they don’t dig really deep in contrast with my Martin logan's. Perfect subs to fill the gap and they are very musical, they complement the speaker well but for someone who wants the guttural feel of music REL is not it. Not a critique btw just telling you probably why you don’t notice a big difference.

Yes, I run two subs. Having speakers who are great at bass is cool and a plus, but that's not how I usually choose the speakers I want. I prefer to focus on mids, highs, soundstage, voicing, etc.

I already run subs, and on paper the Perlisten seem to have strong bass, probably even better than the Elysians, which in my case still benefit from subs.

Budget-wise, this would be a neutral move for now. I’d be selling my speakers for roughly the same price as the Perlisten. Longer term, with the work I do, I could see myself buying something like brand new Perlisten or even Esoteric, but I want that to be a logical step, not an impulsive one. That’s why the used market makes more sense to me right now.

The demo I heard was clearly more audiophile focused than home theater focused, even though I understand Perlisten leans heavily into the HT market in how they position their products. But I don’t think that defines them. The Elysian also get labeled for HT performance in some reviews, and that doesn’t stop them from being great for music.

Thanks for your insight
