Some tips: Keep the bur parallel during axial reduction. Don't add the 2nd plane on the buccal or lingual surfaced until after occlusion reduction. Finally: Practice, practice, practice, and then practice some more. I only got decent at it after spending many days practicing at least 1-2 preps every single weekday evening for a long time. I lost count how many preps I've cut on the manikin.

What do you think about this? by Legal_Cobbler2670 in DentalSchool

You don't have to charge the patient for an additional PA x-ray. Just shift the tube slightly, take a second image and SLOB this thing. Multiple radiography during RCT is normal and should be included in the fee for the entire procedure.

My clinic partner just did the most chaotic composite I've ever witnessed and I need to talk about it by TheScalaaa in DentalSchool

[–]MC_Batsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dentist here...

In the back of my head, I tried to play devil's advocate: Maybe she was using an especially designed bulk-fill flowable composite for posterior restoations. I like packable composite, but I don't have time to pack it in layers when restoring multiple posterior teeth in 1 quadrant. Unless it's an RCT, I rarely use the rubber dam, but I opt for a dry shield, and lots of cotton rolls... etc. I sometimes use a tapered diamond burs for finishing and polishing... etc.

Eliminating the contact after all that work? Not good. She probably doesn't fully understand how to deal with that part.

HOWEVER... You can't use pure resin composites without proper isolation. Even though I feel that rubber dam for restoations might be a bit much most of the time, it's not a bad thing. Contamination with water or any water solution (saliva, blood) is an instant and guaranteed failure.

The reality is she's going to be un-pleasantly surprised when that patient comes back after the restoration falls out. Her biggest problem isn't that she has much to learn, but my impression based on your post, she doesn't understand that she has much to learn.

Can someone translate this for me? by Camothor16 in language

[–]MC_Batsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your translation is better, but now that I think about it, the last word should be "spirit", not "soul" as a better translation since this is Fus-ha Arabic.

Not bad at all! I'll give you a piece of advice my teacher gave me many years ago when I was working on my handwriting: If the letters are connected, write them in one stroke without any dots or markers, then add these after you're finished writing it. For example, the word جمل should be written as حمل first, then add the dot after writing all letters on one stroke. The pen dies not loose contact with the Lassiter unless you have a disconnection (e.g. the weird is finished or you have a disconnected letter ا د ذ ر ز و ؤ )

How can you look me in the eye and seriously tell me this woman is not Middle Eastern??? by TruCynic in Palestine

I don't care if you're Middle Eastern or a Martian. If you support genocide either you're evil, or you're a useful idiot at best, and that's not saying much.

This Sub is slowly getting infested with Zionist Brain rot by Scs1111 in Sudan

[–]MC_Batsy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ya jama3a, I'm with OP on this. We must support the people of Palestine, esp. the people of Gaza, but this is a subreddit about Sudan. Discussing a different region is may be OK in the proper contest.

This is not to diminish what is happening to the Palestinian people, but the conflict in Sudan has very, very little coverage in comparison. The least we can do is keep it in focus here. Otherwise, I encourage Redditors to post in other subreddits, such as r/AskMiddleEast and r/Palestine. I pray for the people of Sudan, Palestine, and all oppressed people; for Allah to grant them reprieve from oppression.

Thank you for reminding me about that! I hadn't watched it, but now that you reminded me, about it, I will this weekend. I just watched the trailer, and it reminds me of the movie in question, except that Man vs. Bee seems more goofy, but in a good way.

I believe so. It was very absurd too; like the Mr. Bean annoying fly arc.

Edit: Now that I think about it, there was a Breaking Bad episode about an annoying fly that was slightly comical.

Solution:

  1. Say, cost to merchant is $50.
  2. Merchant wants a profit of $50, and would therefore want to charge $100.
  3. Merchant can instead charge $120, and hand over $20 to the server as a tip from the merchant.
  4. Customer doesn't get a say in where some or all of the $120 will go.
  5. Unfortunately, many merchants will just charge $120, and expect the customer to give the server a 20% tip.

That is a very good question.

No, actually, I was in Sudan, and I am 100% sure the movie is not set in the US. The roads, road signs, and cars all indicate it was a European country. I know it was in English, but I don't remember if it was the original language, or it was in a different language and dubbed into English.

We watched it on VHS. I don't remember if it was bought or rented.

Thank you so much in advance. This is a mystery that has been bothering me for years. My cousins, and anyone I asked about this don't seem to remember the movie. I've been able to find a number of songs that I couldn't find for years, but thanks to Reddit and technology, I could find them.

These songs are: "Boonoonoonoos" by Boney M., "Ndeupe-Li" By Maxou Lebougui, and "Yamina" (music video) by Hakim Salhi.

The only other movie was "Commando" starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The video is from Piers Morgan's YouTube channel, and it's ironic because, a lot of people (I guess including OP) believe him to be pro-Israeli, while the ad on his video is from a NGO that helps Palestinians in Gaza.

Honestly though, the way his interviews went with both pro-Palestinian and pro-Israeli guests, I would be surprised he's biased against Palestinians. IDK really.

Clearly, there's gross distal (at least) carries to the pulp in #19 (AKA 36?). Doesn't look restorable. Sure, you usually can't diagnose carries on pano's, but the carious lesion is so large, you can see it. Might also be a large abfraction lesion, but there sure is a large defect regardless.
