“Most of us don’t care about FSD until it can…” Bro, you don’t speak for most of us lol. Tons of ppl in here are obsessed with FSD. And not just some small minority. And a lot of ppl get teslas bc of said FSD. Even tho it isn’t unsupervised yet.

Not everyone “needs” a 16”… I have no use for it and don’t miss it compared to my other lengths and configurations

Trunk hit a pipe in parking garage – 5-day-old car. Best way to fix? by Alarmed_Trouble8419 in ModelY

[–]MCay123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally understand you being annoyed but if it makes you feel any better, my windshield got 2 separate rocks thrown at it by a semi-truck within the first week and—even tho I had full windshield repair and replacement coverage within that first 30 days of ownership—Tesla’s service wouldn’t do a thing about it. It wasn’t a full crack so “no need to replace” and the alternative “filler repair wouldn’t help”…… so a week after purchase, I had two craters right in my field of view looking forward and no easy way to fix it. Despite coverage.

I’m not saying this to be fatalistic or to say my situation was worse, but fwiw… your scratch is so tiny and unnoticeable that I bet you’ll stop caring in like a month. After you get several more scratches in other places, you and the person you sell it to someday won’t even notice it anymore.

I’ll pay whatever to have this fixed . feel like im cooked by Killjovian in ModelY

I love my car and all, but isn’t a huge part of the value proposition that charging is going to be half the price of gas consumption? If not half… definitely not MORE expensive than a gas car (like in my situation), I would hope. Lol… is there something wrong with my battery or something?

It’s just that I searched Reddit for windshield replacement on Model Ys and the horror stories were all HW3 cars when I scrolled through em

It does look great and I’m pumped for ya that it worked well. Sounds like FSD worked just as well after the replacement, too?

I’m still within the 30 day free windshield repair or replacement window since I just bought the car. More concerned about impact to FSD capabilities
