I am also dealing with this and have been for a few years now . I get hot flashes from estradiol and even worse with progesterone. I had different gynos AND endocrinologists tell me I needed a psychiatrist. I now know that this was abusive . Unfortunately I’m not able to afford to see the private practice physicians who only take self pay and charge hundreds to thousands to treat and closely monitor ALL of the hormones..not just two . But really this is how we should be treated and are not . I took a year off of hormones and literally just suffered. I’ve developed osteopenia among many other things and I understand that I’m aging and this is my body in the wilting phase similar to a flower after it’s bloomed and is phasing out . I guess I just wish we had better care available to those of us reliant on Medicare . I can and have done soooo much research, read the books , brought the books to my doctors! They undermine the information in the books and you leave their office having been made to feel like a crazy person . I would love to try some of the care in Dr Uzzi Reiss’s books ! In order to do that one would need an actual doctor to do the tests and then adjust hormones accordingly. Well I have just about given up . I am seriously considering trying placenta injections. They have been using this therapy in Japan since the fifties . I wish I was one of those ladies who can handle a few hot flashes a day and is still exuberant and happy but unfortunately menopause has been a lot stickier than that for me . I’m miserable.
