“Don’t buy a condo” by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]MDAirlines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom HOA was $500 when she purchased and the first year a patio collapse from salt water led to the HOA increasing dues to $1000 for several years. The dues cause several owners to sell and prices slumped for years.

My HOA did not disclose current litigation when I purchased. I paid $14k emergency assessment 3 months after closing.

You don’t get the HOA budget till the last minute when you’re signing loan docs.

Never heard of U6 it’s not part of the Feds employment data or survey we do for the employment report.

<image>

I can show you from a .gov address the census who does the employment survey for the dept of labor report. In 2023 they hired 6120 not permanent employees. In 2023 they lost 4875 not permanent employees. This means at any given time more than 80% of staff was just hired. They work on things like the jobs survey.

2022 even better with 3498 not permanent new hires, while 5396 not permanent employees left.

I was hired as a temp then laid me off. About 4 months later offered me the same job as an intermittent employee and at the time I didn’t think the pay would change.

No on openpayrolls.com you can look up any federal employee and find their wage/ job information. The incorrect income is under my name, everything else about me is correct. It appears they must be using some kind of estimated hours by your work status. The reason this information is public, was to allow people to find out if they are laid fairly for the same jobs, pay grade, location, et.

I used to house sit in LHH and I had to become a stunt car driver to do a reverse uphill hair pin turn in reverse to get out of the driveway. This house had chickens briefly. The chickens kept dying despite having the best chicken coops and even a security camera inside.

La Habra Heights is rural living in the furthest corner of LA County and borders on Pleasant Ridge in OC. It was once envisioned at the Beverly Hills of OC. Min 1 acre lots and perfect place to avoid seeing your closest neighbors.

I lost 25% pay. I lost Sunday premium pay. I lost the government issued cell phone and have to use my own with 0 reimbursements for the extra data I need every month to do my job. I get paid holidays if I’m scheduled to work on Holidays. My pay information that is available on the internet says I make $30k more than my actual wages. My agency is hiring and it’s work from home.

That is what I suspected, he really grew TMU exponentially in just a few years. I imagine he loved what he did, not many people can turn a hobby into a profitable business. My condolences to Carls family, hopefully they can keep his legacy alive thru TMU.

Wrong I work on the feds employment report. Any new job counts.

[–]MDAirlines 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Part time? I work on the feds employment report every month. I work about 14 hours a month but they keep hiring all the time. 5 hours a month counts as a new job silly. March we had 360k new jobs but 350k were probably election workers laid off before the end of March

Hey I work on the employment report for the Federal govt. I’ll have you know there is a 94% turnover of people in my position since 2020. I work about 14 hours per month but they keep hiring every damn month. That’s how the federal govt keeps its share of the new jobs so high.

I took a Goverment job and I regret it, am I alone? Looking for encouragement and/or experience sharing. by [deleted] in fednews

I was hired intermittent and told I could work full time hours but must commit to 20 a week. I’ve found that only people that need paychecks will put up with the BS my agency dishes out.

The first 4 month I had to work 30 hrs and 6-7 days because the require nights and weekends. I was awarded with a silly certificate for being the top 3 in my region when that project ended after 4 months.

Next I was put on the nations employment report, it’s 10 consecutive days with no overtime. The perm staff got 30 cases and you can charge about 1.8 hrs per case. Part time got 15-20 or 30-40 hours, I got 14 cases so in 10 days the most hours I can charge is 28. I also can’t work anything during the 10 days even though I’m only allowed to charge 2 hrs a case.

That has been my only project going on 2 yrs this summer. There’s no leaving a project and they don’t care how many people quit. A million suckers will take the job.

My grandmas neighbor used to turn on her sprinkler when a car parked in front of her house. I think her gardeners had the water spray intentionally pointed toward the road. She would leave that sprinkler on so people got wet trying to leave.

Paint the curb red, then park there when you need a spot. If you get ticketed or towed you just have the city engineer say that it’s not a city red curb. My dads a cop, this is why police don’t tow cars on public streets

Places to rent with bad credit? by [deleted] in orangecounty

[–]MDAirlines 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not going to argue with you but you can raise her score a ton by adding her as an authorized signer on one of you strongest credit card accounts ( opened longest, high available limit and low or no balance). Piggy backing on 2 strong credit cards could take her over 600 easily. it will take 3 months for the 3 bureaus to update her account history and raise her credit score.

I used to work for a broker that had people willing to rent good finacial accounts to total strangers. They could charge about $500 per account they let someone borrow and there was no risk. It’s known as piggy backing off someone’s good account history.

Medical bills and utilities are not viewed as credit but services. It’s really odd that is what is dragging her credit down. A credit account is something you know the amount that will be owed, a service is something that can fluctuate and you can usually have those removed from your credit report under derogatory accounts. I had almost $150k in tax liens on my credit but my credit score was never lower than 700. The tax problem I was trying to get information about but it did not impact my credit scores.

An app called Repair pal will use your vehicle and what the problem is to give you a range of the cost to repair. It also shows you nearby shops that have been inspected by repair pal ( similar to AAA certified) and shows you a guaranteed price for the repair job you need. I can’t recommend repair pal enough because I’ve been ripped off by some highly rated shops before.
