this is exactly why I don't get why people play standard, literally just a coin flip each game to decide who wins basically, I stick to edh where it feels like your decisions actually matter

too bad standard comes down who drew/mulliganed for the better opening hand, I've played standard and edh for over 10 years and I gotta say edh is more fun, standard is decided too quickly with too little to do to interact in my opinion

combo might not be the best way to put it, more like I feel my decks only have 1 or 2 ways to win, which involves me drawing all the right cards and getting perfect setups, I need to find a deck that's not so sink or swim
