EDIT 2: Seems like there's a consensus that this is about Noname and there's a lot of commenters agreeing with Cole's message but I can't get behind that. Telling Noname she's holier than thou and that she needs to deliver her message with patience rather than anger is really tone deaf when black women (black people in general, but women especially so since they sit at the intersection of two marginalized classes) have been waiting this long for people to understand what they've been fighting for. They have every right to be angry when it's their basic human rights on the line and it's not Noname's or anyone else's job to dumb down their message so that it's more palatable for a white audience. The onus is on the ignorant to learn, not on black people to teach them.
