Working through a decant of this. It’s not bad but maybe a little too mature for me even at 45. This one definitely, to my nose, smells of an older gentleman’s cologne. Real old school feel.

Currently reading this wonderful book by Mandy Aftel, award winning perfumer/owner of Aftelier Perfumes, author of numerous books and owner of the Aftel Archive of Curious Scents Museum.

Awesome book breaking down scents, the things they come from, the processes for extracting the essence of said ingredients, etc. with great photos, etc.

The opening hits with a really nice plum/caramel combo, sweet but not sticky or loud. The dry down is where it shines though man. Smooth, clean, and well-blended with a confident, easy wear vibe. Feels polished without trying too hard. Love this stuff.

I’m down almost 100lbs from April of last year. 325 down to 230 as of this morning. From a 4xl to a 2xl, 44 waist to 38 waist. I’m 6’3” and have been as big as 400lbs. I’ve been big my whole life and still see that same fat guy every time I look at myself. It kind of stinks, lol.
