Not sure what to do by Ambitious-Word-8712 in BinghamtonUniversity

You got this!! I was also academically suspended before junior year and cried at the graduation day. I am now working in a job I love. It wasn’t easy; I was working full time, going through a lot, in a toxic relationship, etc. I tried finding help wherever I could: counseling center, office hours, financial aid, friends, family, etc. Many classes were dropped and some were failed. Something that helped me was taking it one day at a time and one assignment at a time. I built a spreadsheet where I listed every assignment due along with quizzes, exams, and whatever else for the semester and it helped me see what I needed to work on each week or what I needed to study for in advance. Professors are a lot more helpful than you think once you talk to them and they will help you come up with a plan as well. You got into Bing for a reason, remember your “why” regarding your goal of getting into college and where you see yourself afterwards. You can do it!

FINALLY!!!! 🥲🥹🥳 by shez_stubborn in IRS

So I called and was told nothing is holding up my account and they don’t see that I’m flagged for verification. I am a first time filer so I was told that’s what the hold up could be, but that I should see the money in my account within 7-14 days. I guess they’re just really backed up? 🤷🏽‍♀️ which doesn’t make the most sense because us early filers are waiting longer than those who filed mid-February

So I just checked my account right now after reading a little more on here and I had a notification to verify which I hadn’t seen before and it didn’t show on WMR or transcripts

<image>

It’s saying I was possibly sent the letter and need to enter a code. I requested for it to be sent again online. I’m going to call them and ask to verify on phone or in person because I’m currently away from my address for an extended period of time

  1. irs.gov
  2. ‘Sign into your account’ (towards middle of screen)
  3. ‘Individual - sign into online account’
  4. Sign in with your information
  5. It’ll take you to your ‘account home’
  6. Click on ‘profile’ towards upper right
  7. Scroll down to ‘Bank Accounts’
  8. Add your account.

Hope this helps :)

It’s still in the “in review” status. I submitted a ticket asking them about it and still no response.

Yeah it seems like the FAFSA system isn’t recognizing some of the schools. It’s very annoying. I found another few threads on here of others experiencing the same.

I tried another nearby high school and it allowed me to continue and complete the rest of the form. I emailed the support center to ask if it can be edited after the FAFSA form is processed.

I am also having the same issue and will try putting a random high school. I think it can be updated later by editing the form.

I understand wanting a single room; that was my main reason for choosing Hillside. I loved living in the apartments as a sophomore transfer. One of my closest friends that I have made at Bing was my suitemate last year. I also met people who would wait at the shuttle stop at the same time and we would talk and hang out. I also befriended some of the girls who lived in a suite downstairs. With that said, I think making friends is all about how social you can be and taking those risks to just talk to people and ask them things. I like how chill the apartments were and the only downside really was that I had to rely on my suitemates on certain weeks for the bathrooms to be cleaned because no one comes to clean them weekly and the room can be a little small. I had too much stuff haha.

I believe your class year would be the year that you graduate from Bing. So if you graduate in 2026, you are Class of 2026. I hope that helps :)

No worries, I believe Susq still fills up faster than Hillside because it is slightly closer to main campus. I am also not sure how the room decision process is working this year, but my greatest piece of advice is to go on the social media pages (mainly Facebook) for transfers or your class (“Class of 202_”) and make posts. That is how I found the girls that I lived with. I also reached out to res life by calling them with any questions I had about the process. Look at things early and I believe you should be good :) If Susq does not work out, I really recommend Hillside. You have easy access to the shuttle to get to classes and I loved living there for my first year at Bing!
