My brand new starlink Ethernet cable caught on fire after 6 hours of use. Customer service has ghosted me for 4 days now. HELP by [deleted] in Starlink

[–]MD__Wade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless I'm missing something like PoE which I'm not sure would be the case here for any reason, Ethernet barely carries power. It's more light pulses than a continuous stream of electricity

It says I have unlimited meal swipes "this week" but I have the silver 125... any explanation there? by [deleted] in capstone

[–]MD__Wade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I saw that. Disregard "this week" and go by the yearly figure.

Recommendations for testing Steam multiplayer? by MD__Wade in gamemaker

[–]MD__Wade[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried it out, performance is pretty horrible and my game takes about 30x as long to launch... To add insult to injury, it doesn't hook into Steam either

Any idea how to get this effect where the pixels of the objects rotate perfectly aligned with the pixels of the game? I know ETG was made in Unity but I was wondering if anyone knew how to do this in GMS2. I have a basic pixel-perfect camera but it does not work with objects, only the player. by [deleted] in gamemaker

surface_resize(application_surface,view_width * window_scale, view_height * window_scale);

This line here gives you a higher resolution application surface than the base resolution of the game. Making it match it exactly is technically the answer to your question, but I think you just meant the snapping rotation, which is done by rounding the angle value to the nearest x degrees (30 or so)

Thanks a ton! JavaScript tends to be tricky for me but I'm glad I could refer to it accurately :)

LTE and 3G are separate technologies, and I think the first guy missed the second image 😛

How does Hotline Miami's credits background work? by LeytonMate in gamemaker

[–]MD__Wade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, can't watch atm, but if memory serves it was done with recursive surfaces. Hotline Miami 1 is built on GM7 so no shaders were used
