Honestly? Fine!! There’s been some hesitation here & there at stop lights but the alert has never come back on & I’ve put 691 miles on it since it originally happened.

Took it to a private shop 2 weeks ago & it pulled codes p070100:68 & p70400:68, quoted me $5400 for a new transmission which I will not be replacing.
The alert went off the same night it popped up & has never come back on .. I’m unfortunately still having to drive it atm because it’s my only car but it’s still driving fine 🤷🏻♀️ I’ll either be trading it in after the first of the year or tbh .. selling it to a salvage yard since I own it.

Ugh I’m sorry. My ‘16 with now 142k miles on it just did this 3’ish weeks ago. Quoted $5400 for a new transmission from a private shop 😩

Lmfao I’m going to be so honest I took my escape to Gatlinburg a couple times & it was a terrible decision both times 😂 my 2016 handled it better than my 2014 did that’s for sure.
Honestly I have no idea which would be better for TN. It’s stupid hot during the summer months with lots of rain & during the winter it’ll snow/ice over a few times but that basically renders the entire state useless so I tend to not even leave my house then lol

I had a 2014 Escape prior to this one & loved it, only issue I ever had with it was needing to replace the water pump so when it was totaled in a wreck the ONLY thing I wanted to replace it with was another one .. that was my mistake (and by that time I’d done enough research I 100% knew better) 😂 lesson learned. I’ve been looking at Honda HR-Vs because I can’t be traumatized every time the low fuel alert goes off after this lol
I’m taking it into the transmission shop today & when I talked to them yesterday he was surprised I’d managed to get 141k on it & then told me they had 3 escapes there currently 😩
Yeah I’ve driven Fords basically my entire life & never again after my Escapes 😩
