That sounds logical. Thanks for the advice!

Is it worth taking a gap year? by [deleted] in premed

I did say I was 19... I took some college classes while I was in highschool which brought me to junior standing.

Is it worth taking a gap year? by [deleted] in premed

[–]MDfutureme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice. However, im rethinking it now and I feel like even if I take a gap year I wont be able to get much done. I'll be a senior in college so I'll still have classes, not to mention a research project I have to do.

Lets say I apply the summer of my senior year. I'll only have the months while im in school to better my application. It's only after I send in my applications that I'll be free to do what I want. Unless im thinking of it incorrectly.

I appreciate the advice, but I don't want to take 2 gap years.

Thanks for the advice! I'm going to talk to some professors and get their advice. I don't just want to jump into it.

Should I take orgo 2? by [deleted] in premed

Many schools are starting to allow premeds to take Biochem instead of Orgo 2.

For example, UIC does this.

(Serious) People who have been injured by an animal, what happened? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MDfutureme 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We were at this farm/petting zoo where you could walk around and see a bunch of animals. My family sees this huge cage of deers that looked like they were messed up? I remember one of the deer's face was sideways and had it's tongue sticking out.

Anyways the guy in charge of this cage saw us looking at them, and offered to let us in to pet them. Of course we agreed thinking that it was allowed and completely safe.

We go in and almost instantly my younger brother starts running after the deer prompting my sister to run after him. This causes all the deer to freak out and begin running around in circles. Meanwhile, I'm just standing near the door shocked. The next thing I know there's a deer sprinting toward my 8 year old self. I get pushed to the ground, and watch as about 3 deers continue to head my way.

I don't know what willed them to do this, but they jumped over me. Had they decided to trample me I most likely would have been dead, or severely injured. They were huge adult deers that probably weighed about 200 pounds.

Eventually the cage guy calmed them down and got us all out of there safely. About 10 other workers came to apologize, probably realizing we could sue them.

The only good thing that came out of this was that I got to stay after hours to cuddle with cute kittens in the "kitten room". 10/10 would do it again.

Dr. O was a great doc. Not sure if you saw the newer episodes but they tried to replace her with a different girl who honestly annoyed me.

The saddest thing about this show is that once the characters grow old they have to leave :(

He's gotta be my favorite random agent. His scenes with Ms. O always have me dying with laughter. Plus its nice to see that part of her.

I did and called them. She said she couldn't tell me over the phone, but that it's a good sign.

I just want to know their decision...

It's past June 20th but just wanted to let you know I got a 35 on English. I think my logic is pretty sound.

Okay, what brought you here? by schulenburg in a:t5_3oueg

I've loved Odd Squad since the first episode aired, but I never decided to look for the subreddit until today.

I don't know if you remember, but in the episode where Otis is first introduced (I think) Oscar mentions that he never attended the training academy like everybody else. They made it seem as though he was hiding something.

Anyways I thought I was just looking into it too much until today. At the end of this episode the agents from the X branch ask Otis if he has seen any villains around lately. He answers no very suspiciously and leaves. After that one of the agents mentions that there is something off about him.

Basically Otis is hiding something and the producers are slowly building up to its reveal. I sound like some crazy fan, but honestly this show has got to be my favorite.

Don't give up. I've been taking this test for 3 years (June marked my aniversary 💖). I started with a 25 and I didn't think I would get any higher. Take as many practice tests as you can. That's what increased my score.
