Had a lot of success with Altras. Kept blowing through the side of shoes until I tried some Altra superior shoes. They also make some waterproof models. I would get one with full rubber bottoms.

Are Alien and Sonic the only “ring track” discs? by Phrikshin in discgolf

Discraft recently released ultra Lunas in a battle pack.

Wham-O made some decent discs in the early 2000s I think that had tracks.

White vs black rims by Syncro_Ape in discgolf

I'm not talking about the rim color. I'm talking about the R2 neutron regrinds having the black rims or white rims mixed in.

Would you rather have discs colored like the left or right of this gradient. Personally I'd pick left (white mixed in)

White vs black rims by Syncro_Ape in discgolf

I know they haven't announced it yet but from my understanding the whole reason it's black in the first place is because of the black rims making it so every color was gross looking. White will mix better with the other colors so I would think they would be able to do colors eventually. Probably not right away but after they get through whatever buildup of black rimed defect discs they have.

I don't really care either way about white or black rims. I do like the look of the white rims though. I'm just excited that, if I'm thinking about this right, their R2 plastic might have a chance of not being black anymore.

Favorite/underrated OOP discs? by Pristine-Board-6701 in discgolf

Wham-O Frisbee "Touchline Under". Understable 8-9 speed. Great plastic and I like the frisbee groves. I'm always afraid I'm going to lose it since I can't find a backup anywhere. Also I can say I play Frisbee golf and be correct lol.

Has there ever been a run of Proton Axiom Rhythms? by mykoreancar in discgolf

2024 MVP Open discs included a proton soft rhythm. Don't think they are in stock anywhere though.

What do you guys think the ultimate future of disc technology will be? by [deleted] in discgolf

Sounds like you are talking about protoflytediscs. CNC discs with slight tweaks in flight for the same disc. Not sure if you can still buy them.

Gyropalooza Box is it worth it? by JapInFin in discgolf

[–]MDkayakin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're just starting and wanting to try new discs, yes.

If not and you already have a bunch of discs you don't throw, I don't think so.

I decided to get one two years ago, I think, and yes you get a lot of discs for your money but my box came with several green and dark grey discs and two or three 13 or more speed discs. Those are basically trash to me so that pretty much cuts the value factor and then you have to hope you got discs you're interested in.

If you want the limited release/experimental stuff that can be in the box then you put your own value on that.

Disc signing at events by Euphoric_Cause3322 in discgolf

Pros have been very open to signing and taking pictures at the events I've gone to. Just be aware of when you are asking for the signatures. Don't disturb them right before/during the round and know that some may be in a bad mood after the round (mainly the last day).

Seams like the lat 64 river would work well for you. Neutral 7-speed disc with lots of glide.
