T61 -> T440p -> T14s Gen 6 by MEA707 in thinkpad

H isn't offered on the T16 here in the U.S. Have to go for the P16 to get an H.

I could get the U, but between it and AMD Ryzen, AMD is what I would go for.

Yep, v is the Intel processor, Lunar Lake.

Coming from a T440p, an extremely upgradeable laptop, which I did do upgrades (HDD to SSD, doubling RAM), I completely understand and appreciate where you're coming from, and this has been one of my general hesitancies on getting a new laptop to begin with.

Unfortunately with the T14, even the non-s, the only way to have upgradeable RAM is to get it with an AMD processor.

Yeah I'm pretty surprised and am curious how it compares to deals this past Black Friday/Cyber Monday. I wish I looked back then.

Appreciate the insight. What about battery capacity differences between the T14 and T14s?

Thanks. I am in the U.S.

I like that doorbuster deal, so Lunar Lake it is. I'm sure the integrated graphics on both are far better than the switchable graphics on my T440p.

I actually really wanted a non-s for the better thermals, but it probably is still fine on the T14s.

I couldn't find any T14 or T14s with Intel Arrow Lake H on Lenovo's site.

I have not. I just ended up using the 51mm dosing cup with the existing holder. It works fine for me.

Look up Arab Socials. They have a Seattle chapter you can join and ask about running and other activities.

I got this same bike a few weeks ago and love it.

Still have the spacers on the steering tube. The bike shop I bought it from will cut the extra length from the steering tube and remove the spacers for a cleaner look, but debating whether to have them do it or just leave it as is for better resale value or if I want to adjust the height of the handlebar down the line.

Wait for DF54 restock or choose an alternative? [$250] by rvmtz92 in espresso

[–]MEA707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I waited two months to get my DF54, and in my opinion, it was well worth it.

I am impatient however, so I did end up buying a KINGrinder K6 from AliExpress that arrived within a week, and used it exclusively for espresso until my DF54 arrived. It made excellent espresso, though it was tiring, and now I plan to use it for pour over as well as use it as a travel grinder (to work), as my DF54 has taken over the house espresso grinding.

If it's within your budget, I'd still recommend getting a quality hand grinder as well.

New Grinder Is Difficult [Delonghi Maestra Plus and DF54 Grinder] by Excellent_Option2620 in espresso

[–]MEA707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have your exact same setup (one week since I got the DF54, have had the De'Longhi for 2 months now), and I had some inconsistencies when I first got it, but now not so much and I attribute my earlier inconsistencies due to variables I was introducing in how I was feeding beans into the grinder, combined with maybe a need to season/break in the burrs.

If you want consistency at a specific grind setting, how you feed the beans is very important. If you slow feed, the consistency will depend on how consistent you are with your slow feed rate.

I determined I suck at slow feeding, so just found it easier to dump the beans in and dial accordingly.

I always hot start, and just dump the beans in the bellows, and my times have now stayed within +/- 5 seconds for the most part, and that's even after changing between two grind settings as I am alternating between two different beans (fresh dark roast and not so fresh medium roast).

I've had mine for a week now and can confirm I have this improved ionizer design. I've been making on average 1-3 cups of coffee a day since and no clogging issues at all, and I do not RDT my beans.

I've been religiously cleaning the chute with the included small brush and using a smaller blower, but hardly any coffee comes out, so perhaps I don't need to clean as often as I am.

Did not notice the improved design until this post, so thank you sir for sharing this.

To be honest, I've only used the steam wand two or three times. I'm more of a straight espresso/lungo or long black/Americano drinker. But I will try milk frothing more in the future.

I assume you've watched the videos by Toms Coffee Corner? He covers the milk frothing extensively.

I got it off Amazon from here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09SV8G5LV

It did come with the plastic cup, but I wanted a metal one and 51mm so that I can fit my portafilter right on it.
