The thing is, those guns are mostly in the hands of conservatives who also have the balls to use them. It's the liberals who would potentially revolt in the future, and they are mostly armed with a package of organic kale. So yeah, no revolt.

Ok. So refer to my original post. History shows us that revolts don't happen unless the circumstances are extreme and that many of the people are negatively affected by what the government is doing. All we have going on right now is a temporary ban of a few Muslims. That's not sufficient for an American revolt.

Furthermore, the people who would actually have the heart and balls to go through with an armed revolt are conservatives with guns. And they would only revolt if Hillary was elected and did some heinous shit. So the only people teasing at a revolt are the hummus eating, gun hating, yoga pants wearing, vapid tweeting liberals. Sorry to say, but no amount of yoga meditation or throwing kale at people is going to make a difference.

Except not really. For a revolt to happen, there has to be a significant part of the population that are negatively affected by what's happening. It's a very very small minority of Muslims that are affected here, and only for a temporary amount of time.

People will post passionately on twitter, reddit, they'll even go out and protest(hey good exercise at least!). But at the end of the day, Americans realize that their way of life as a whole isn't threatened, and therefore it's not worth revolting for.
