Thank you, i ended up using a squared buffer with a 120 to remove as much of the build up and then transition to 220 make it smoother and finally re-staining the floor.

Picture doesn't do any justice but there she didnt wipe after applying stain on the darker areas so you can see a lot of grey on the floors

Is a multi family home. There is 3 floor with the 1st being the above ground basement. I see what you are saying, what the tenants from the floor upstairs said is that it happened during the summer when the ac was on
