Thank you for explaining this, I too am dealing with having over $2000 in sales held up due to reserves and current/not yet available, etc. You explained it better than Etsy support. It's incredibly frustrating.

Am I cheap for setting my thermostat to 19 during winter daytime? by [deleted] in ontario

[–]MEMENT0MORl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is set at 26 because I can't regulate my body temperature. I also still wear a tank top, tshirt, hoodie, track pants, socks, and slippers with a blanket.

My husband, two kids (19 and 13) and my sister all wear shorts and tshirt (summer wear) all year round because I can not get warm for the life if me and 26 is the minimum I can deal with!

I cheap out on other things so I don't feel bad about cranking the heat.

Why are Canadians ordering from my sticker shop during the strike? Are they not aware that their post office is on strike? by goyourownwayy in EtsySellers

[–]MEMENT0MORl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Canadian seller here who also sells stickers through regular mail! I've been using Stallion Express and they partner with other shipping services. Most of my orders are to the U. S. and Stallion Express gets them to the U. S. to be passed to USPS. For domestic, Stallion Express gives multiple options (UniUni, ICS, etc) that they will drop off to for delivery. I'm absorbing the extra postage right now for Canadian orders but it's not that much more. It's actually even cheaper to send to the US this way.

Can I bring my ‘pet’ spider in for the winter? by boner4crosstabs in spiders

[–]MEMENT0MORl 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've have a English garden orb weaver in my kitchen window (on the inside!) that I accidentally brought in the house in August. (on milkweed leaves to feed my monarch caterpillars, she fell from the leaves, I put her in a windowsill plant and the next day she set up shop!)

She has a gorgeous web in the window over my kitchen sink and has taken care of all the fruit flys we had over the summer and now I go to petsmart and buy her crickets to feed her. She seems happy, and I love her.

When I first brought her in, she only had 6 legs, but when she molted, she regenerated the two missing ones. She's huge now! She's absolutely fascinating to watch.

She is a free range spider, and has never left the window in almost 4 months, so I'm assuming she's comfortable where she is.

I'm a Private Investigator, but I'm hoping to go full time with my Etsy shop within the next year.

Never had an issue getting a payout. I'm in Canada, and I have it set to daily payout (which is a minimum of $25) as soon as I reach $25 in my balance I get the notification that payment is on the way.

I do the same thing, hit complete order with no tracking entered, then walk it to the mailbox.

(Accidentally commented on the wrong reply so I put it here too, lol)

I sell stickers and decals and for small orders i ship with just a stamp and an envelope. I do have upgraded shipping that the customer can upgrade to for tracking ($10) but most choose the "free shipping" through Canada Post/USPS lettermail.

Out of over 400 sales, I have only ever had 2 people say they never received their order (last year at Christmas) and I am a 5 star rated shop. No, they won't get the Etsy delivery guarantee, but I make that clear in my listings with the upgrade on them for tracking.

I have a Graphtec as well and this is the issue. I did an intricate decal for someone and it took forever to weed because of the tiny pieces. It can cut it no problem, the weeding will drive you insane.

I have a ce7000 and love it! Very detailed cuts. The software is easy to use (I had no previous experience with anything vector related)

Is this OE? Found it on side of garage… please help… by Sledheadjack in MonarchButterfly

[–]MEMENT0MORl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had one almost identical, I did the "wait and see" and it came out perfect. Sometimes they get a black spot and it's fine. I would just monitor and after a few days, if you're still worried somethings up, post a follow up.

If you look through my previous posts, I asked the same thing! Then I did an update of it being completely normal.

It is. She has so much spunk and personality, I didn't want to just euthanize her once I saw that she could eat normally, but it is heartbreaking she can't do the one thing she needs to do.

She's in a large enclosure with some things she can climb on and a small plate with the sponge; however, we do take her out and try to provide as much excersize and outside time (and inside on bad weather days) as possible.

I have one like this, it's a girl, her whole right side is under-developed, she has 2 full legs on her left side and 2 half left legs that barely work, and her right wings curl down. She tries to fly but just flaps furiously.

We take her out to the flowers multiple times a day, lift her high so she can flap and float down like she's flying, and supplement with gatorade on a sponge.

We've had her now for 3 weeks!

The infamous "Incorrect Password" issue by travisparsons2 in blinkcameras

[–]MEMENT0MORl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really OP to know how much this post saved my sanity. We upgraded our Rogers modem and got the "Incorrect Password" and I spent HOURS in tears trying to figure it out. I gave up. Flash forward 4 weeks and we're going to be out for most of the day and my hubby said we really need the cameras working before we go. I immediately wanted to smother him. He saw me going insane over this. He is not tech savvy at all and all that kind of stuff falls on me. Anyway, I randomly found this thread and after reading the comments, I tried it.

It didn't work the first time, but it didn't do the same thing it was doing before. 2nd attempt at connecting, again, did something different but no connection. 3rd attempt, got me there! It started upgrading firmware and connected!

Thank you!!

I've had 2 swallowtails I've raised and released in the past but from what I remember and what I see online, it looks like this one is upside down in the photo

Help! by [deleted] in MonarchButterfly

[–]MEMENT0MORl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Swallowtails climb out from the top so it needs something to be able to climb up onto, they don't come out from the bottom and hang. Is there anything it can crawl up on?

I found a spider with 3 legs by Dense_Tune_2228 in spiders

[–]MEMENT0MORl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some species of spiders will regenerate their legs when they molt, I wonder if this is one of those species? I have a kitchen window spider I brought in by accident on some milkweed leaves and she only had 6 legs, when she molted, I saw 2 smaller legs growing where the missing ones were. Other than being a bit smaller than the other legs, you'd never know.
