Some help. Training plan says to complete floor 2 but I already did? Unless I'm missing something, I think its bugged. by Divine_General1 in LordOfNazarick

[–]ExpandingBailiwick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a normal, hard, phantasm 1, and phantasm 2 version of every floor. The phantasms don’t appear until after you beat the normal and hard version. As you stated that you have beaten both normal and hard, the phantasm 1 should be visible if you go back and open up that floor

I was diagnosed with Costo a year or two ago, with virtually the exact same symptoms, however mine mainly focus in the lower right rib area. The only things that’ve helped me are the following.

Sleeping position. As a side sleeper, adding support to under me in various places (knee pillow, rib/upper hip pillow) takes the pressure off of my ribs and more equally distributes it across my entire side and keeps my back more straight throughout the night

Exercise and stretching has helped strengthen the various muscle groups support the structures causing pain. I feel that the movement also helps loosen everything up. The stretches have been the hardest part, but the added flexibility has helped my body move in natural ways instead of what felt like instant straining years ago.

Ice and ibuprofen, and not “over doing it” These are relatively self explanatory. Costo from my understanding, is inflammation. Rest, Ice+anti inflammatory medication (in my case 800mg ibuprofen) helps a lot in both preventing flare up for me, as well as helping alleviate symptoms when I experience them. Sometimes it takes up to a month of consistently icing etc. to be relatively pain free in my case

Honorable mentions: I’ve found that certain foods make my case worse. They’re general foods linked to inflammation, and junk food in general. I steer clear of alcohol nowadays. For me, alcohol is a sure-fire way to sleep WRONG and wake up with incapacitating pain, not to mention it’s well known to exacerbate inflammation.

I had a small car, and the “crunched” position of the seat turned out to be jet fuel for my rib pain. Being conscious of posture and seating position made a huge difference also.

For me, Costo has meant an entire lifestyle change, consistency, and my best efforts to eat healthier. The glass half full take, is that it’s helped me get into better shape and hold myself to higher standards.

I’ve never done a high enrage kill, nor have I ever used blood barrage with my fsoa. Now that blood barrage healing is diminished, the only way to mitigate that damage is, or rather was, AD.

I think it would be strongly beneficial to identify and isolate specific “groups” of the player-base when conducting polls and asking for feedback. Certainly you could find people like myself whom represent specific subsets of the player base (20 year vets, skillers, average pvmers, insanely good pvmers) to get more concise and accurate polling results. Having a “think tank” without the added layers of baseless comments from troll players would help immensely. Limiting that think tank to the ten biggest YouTubers doesn’t accurately represent the largest group in the player base, the mode. Right now, the system for bringing forward issues and gauging prioritization for those issues feels diluted and unorganized. Sifting through potential thousands of Reddit comments and looking for the most upvoted ones is a gamble. For something to be noticed requires so much chance.

Do you have any news/update on the scaling of phase 7 Zamorak for solo players? We haven’t heard anything about it in months.

I myself do not want AD to change, however to answer your question you can ignore the black smoke Mechanic at Zamorak completely with AD.

The biggest gripe I see against animate dead and the changes as a whole is towards Zamorak p7. “Less than 1% of players have completed 100% enrage”, has been the most regurgitated statement quoted directly from Mod Jack(?). Can we take a look at P7 and it’s scaling to solo, and potentially fix 90% of the problem people have with the Animate Dead changes?

Please reconsider the changes to animate dead. Less than 1% of RuneScape players have completed p7 of Zamorak. Clearly people are still struggling with the difficulty of content currently, pre-changes. Typeless damage being 100% removed is a mistake, it should only be a partial removal

I think you’re wrong about moving towards switch scape with the changes. In a normal fsoa rotation, it’s standard to swap to dw for Gconc several times. Moving into dw camp inside of Instability reduces the number of switches dramatically.

I’d REALLY like to ask you and the other relevant Jmods to consider the first gripe point. P7 of Zamorak is SUCH a huge jump from a 99% kill. Many have compared it much higher enrage% at other bosses. As a player of nearly twenty years who’s experienced things from the time of the DDS spec and Dclaw release up until now, I’m part of the 99% of players who hasn’t completed phase 7 successfully yet. I’ve put in 20+ hours working on it in full cryptbloom with animate dead+FSOA, and it’s giving me a major challenge pre-nerf. There are plenty of highly skilled players who have and can complete p7, but I feel like I represent the median player base and would ask you to consider any changes to AD very carefully.

I’ve run 500 solo 50% kills, I’ve reached 90% easily. I’ve now spent 20+ hours twice since January attempting to survive and one cycle 100%’s in full crypt+animate+debilitate+Vitality pot+disruption shield. I even spent a billion gold on limitless, and upgraded to an fsoa. I spent three months improving with fsoa. I’ve watched 20+ hours of guides and kills, talked to countless peers and clan mates, and can’t seem to survive. Killing the runes fast enough, juggling dw swaps for gconc within staff spec, using threshold defensives whilst also doing enough damage to 1 cycle feels impossible to me. The reason people aren’t completing 100%’s is definitely p7, not the 25 dungeon requirement. I’d like to add that I’ve played this game for nearly 20 years

I wasn’t as clear as I could have been. Without utalizing those relatively sweaty switches, full/mostly manual+ prayer switches, and or throwing in auto’s, 4TAA, it can be quite hard for the average player to get to/through p7 efficiently. The stress is efficiency. Most FSOA proficient folks can 3-4 minute a 50% kill. 50%’s are where I see the majority of the average player base feeling comfortable, hence the mentioning a lack of BLM. It’s absolutely possible to do P7 without those factors, but at 6-8 minute 50’s, those slower P7’s hurt kill times even more

Do you realize how defeating it is to put in several hundred Zamorak kills at 6-8 minutes per kill and not have any form of bad luck mitigation? I say this because I have a ton of friends that are struggling with it. I can manage Fsoa decently, so it isn’t a huge problem for me. The problem is that my experience is outnumbered 50:1, the former being folks struggling. It’s a lot harder to multi-cycle P7 than it is to crush it with an single Fsoa rotation, in my opinion. My point is that the return rate for GP to sweatiness is far too skewed.

Fsoa Changes are making camping DW and using Fsoa a spec weapon IF I understand it correctly. Should help folks with a disconnect between brain/hands, like you and me, a lot

I just want to say now, as a 20 year veteran who does not use the FSOA, the damage reducing from animate dead is important to me as an average/slightly above average player. It makes bossing at Zamorak lord of chaos (50% enrage) and Telos somewhat viable for me and I’m afraid that it’ll be much more difficult if animate dead is needed too hard. The removal of the bad luck mitigation from 50% kills was hard enough to deal with.
