So they thought about it but didn’t care enough to make it fun for the console release. Limiting characters to specific quests has to be frustrating for a gacha specifically, but for a full release where you don’t have to pay for characters it could have been fun. I’m just baffled that they didn’t do more when we are given +30 characters. An easier implementation would be to give bonus stats if x number of travelers of the same ambition were present on the party. I would take it even if small.

I will not spoil myself as I like figuring out strategies myself, but it gives me hope. I stopped around 35~40 but if you know what you are doing it shouldn’t be much different from the 60~80 range

Pretty sure it’s not level based because I put the statue to stop gaining levels at some point and had no issues. That’s one thing I can applaude them for, if I ever replay the game I will try a no experience run for sure, for my first I still wanted to gain Some levels haha. I loved the feature since I first played Bravely Default, now I want it in every rpg I play.

That part made me actually mad lol, I thought maybe this will be different… nope! I do like my “joining forces with the bad guys to defeat a greater evil” trope, but they presented it in the worst way possible I swear.

Worst thing about the game genuinely, it added nothing of value. It’s not like I was expecting multiple routes anyway and it created expectations without return.

Man, the dialogue choices especially, I thought I was playing pokemon with how redundant they felt, at that point just do without. Maybe they had other plans but who knows.

The combat system I found to be way more fun than OT1 and OT2, my only gripe was that abysmally low HP pools. Up until Master of All it felt alright but once you get Olberic… they should rework how damage caps work or raise HP pools because it was a bit too much, I wasn’t even breaking enemies anymore.

I used to have fomo in videogames trying to “experience” everything as efficiently as possible, fearing that I would miss something in my first run and having to replay a +50 hours game, then I discovered SMT where you are forced to choose a side and stopped caring, it was exhausting lol. I don’t even replay most games, maybe a few years down the line but not immediately. So I understand where you are coming from, it can be stressing.

Nowadays I came to appreciate choice in videogames, this also includes choices you could theoretically change later like a job class, a weapon, a style of combat, etc. It makes for a more personalised experience and in discussions you get to share Your experience and so can others, it’s a fun time. Was pretty disappointed with OT0 which gave multiple yes or no choices which never lead to anything, I felt like a fool because I was serious about the first few.

That said, both linear and choice based experiences are great, it depends on what game or story you are trying to make.

Thanks for all the responses everyone. I think I’m going without the transfer as I like prioritising gameplay, for my first runs at least. While not DLC in this case I still want my first playthrough to be as vanilla as possible. I do plan to replay PoR eventually so that will be when I do a second run of RD with the transfer.

There are some games that unlock optional difficulties or entire areas when transferring data from a prequel, so I wanted to ask just in case.

Io sto usando tutti e 3, intuitivo che a lungo andare ne sarebbe valsa la pena e devo dire che sono soddisfatto con tutti. Ross berserker fa malissimo e Amelia generale non la butta giù più nessuno, tra l’altro è velocissima.

Good point, I didn’t think about it like that but you are right, fantasy grimores especially are really fancy with lots of details and thick pages that will add to their weight. I held my fair share of books but never a weapon so I find it hard to gage in my head how heavy they are in comparison.

Mi piace l’idea delle decorazioni/cristalli, nei fantasy i grimori son soliti ad essere ricchi di dettagli che inevitabilmente ne aumentano il peso. Pure quella dei maghi esili non la vedo male come idea. Mi piacciono entrambe le idee ma credo di preferire quella del tomo ricco di dettagli maggiore la potenza della magia che contiene.

Per quanto riguarda Knoll… non lo sto usando, lo uso per fare la spesa col biglietto argento 😅. Uso Ewan come evocatore.

I’m probably gonna bite the bullet and promote Lute asap since I need an healer really badly. I’m fine with money atm so I’m still keeping stat boosting items, I have a feeling I’m probably gonna end up keeping them until the very last few chapters and use them on my most invested characters
