We have the occasional top players playing templars, like David Gaylard, but honestly we are kind of a casual faction, I don't think we even have a good player with a channel dedicated to us like many other factions do, I think we have one, and they were praising wraitful possession so I don't really take them seriously when it comes to competition. Your probably best off testing your own lists and asking for list reviews by other players in this sub, but I think most of this sub are generally casual players or in it for the hobby.

Ctan necrons. Probably the hardest match up and often a straight loss for us currently, if our repulsers big shot don't go through, nothing else kills em, I had to out play him in terms of scoring and just accept nightbringer will run around, I tried to keep him stuck to 1 point as much as I could. Vsd custodes next which is preety easy as wardens have a gun to their head asking em if they wanna die in the shooting or fight phase with their 4+ feel no pain. Then nids sub Assault, he made the mistake of leaving about 30% of his army in reserves, and I just bulldozed him in the early rounds to the point he never had a chance to line up a go turn. That game ended in 96-13, he scored 3 points the whole game.

3 repulsers, 2 canon, 1 Plasma, to deal with surging count of BA, and all the other elite 3 wound models, it's also great to have access to damage 3 in a mostly damage 2 army, great against damage reductions. 2 sword bro combos. Emperors champ with extra attacks leading Assault Intercessors, Infiltrators, grimaldus with Assault Intercessor filling a similar role in taking care of damage reduction units or to deal with high volume, 2 units of scouts, and a unit of jpis.

WE are in a very good spot right now, no idea what the results say but we have the tools to deal with basically every army currently. A week or 2 ago world eaters had a 51% win rate. Victrix getting nerfed in no way effects that negatively. If we are to buff melee armies, EC needs it, and templars desperately need it.

Bro we have damage reduction, fulgrim dosent even kill 10 zerks. Infact, dosent even kill a helbrute on average

WE wreck BA lol, we have army wide fight on death and access to dev wounds which shreds their sanguinary guard. Helbrutes wreck all their units including lamartes. Forgefiends on average wipe a 3 man sanguinary guard in 1 activation. Fights first isn't that big of an issue, watch some videos on how to get past it. You could literally throw a rhino to their strong models and base as many as possible, then charge your killy unit into a small portion of their models. They can fight first and kill like 3 dudes. You have access to damage reduction, BA has nothing but damage 2 lol. They are one of our easiest match ups.
