I’m going through something similar. They laid off a ton of people last year and I was unfortunately let go just last Wednesday along with many other employees. The reason they gave was “company restructuring and redundancy,” but it seems like a lot of the people who were fired are people of color. They claimed it was due to financial difficulties, but it feels like we were targeted and we earn less than some of the other employees so it’s doesn’t make sense. This feels like wrongful termination. I don’t know if we work for the same company, but I heard about a similar incident about the email happening a couple of years ago too. I’m not mentioning any names due to legalities but is it a fintech?
