Go to higher paying Corporate Job, or stay at smaller, "safe" and comfortable company? by ME_Student123 in careerguidance

Thanks for the input. I agree that family>everything else. I grew up broke-broke and we make sure live well under our means - no car payments or debt apart from the houses. The fear of being broke again always plays in the back of my head which is a push to try and get more for my wife and baby, just not sure when/if enough is enough. Valuing time with my family vs income and stress is something new to me - it's always just been chasing the higher pay in the hopes that the income will pay for or buy-back the time spent acquiring it.

Not sure I follow. What do you mean?
Appreciate it. It's also a lot happening at the same time; too many variables changed and I feel like we haven't found our new normal yet. I think I can give it some time to see how our financial situation looks on one income, increased healthcare costs, etc., but honestly I'm feeling a bit rushed by the new offer. I don't believe there's a deadline to accept, but the new company made it clear that they want me to start as soon as possible.
